Nice Selection, healthy choices, it smelled great when we walked in the door. We tried the Lamb/Beef, both hummus’s, the sampler, it was all delicious. Friendly service and affordable prices.

I really enjoyed this spot! It will definitely be my go to for quick Mediterranean food. I had the shawarma plate and my husband had the gyro meat plate. Delicious flavors, great price, good location. If there were more information on the food or other combo options I would have ranked higher but that’s just being picky. Coke products and other drinks offered.

Visiting from out of town and stopped by to try the falafel pita. It was incredible. Delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the staff was super friendly.

So good! Highly recommend this place! Awesome that they have so many vegetarian and vegan options (maybe a little less than half the menu) as well as some gluten-free options.

I got the 4x6 combo which had 6 falafels and 4 sides of my choice. All the sides are dairy-free (can add feta for an extra $0.75) and vegan, and the majority of them are gluten-free, too. I got the mushrooms, baba ganoush, green chile hummus, and roasted eggplant with tomatoes. It came with a salad with a tahini sauce as the dressing and a warmed pita on the side. So good!!! Every single item was so flavorful and fresh. It was so cool watching them make 6 fresh falafels just for me - they added the falafel batter into their falafel machine, turned it on, it started spinning, and it dropped 6 balls right into the deep fryer!

The atmosphere is really nice. It's a counter service restaurant, but it looks fancier like a typical table service one. The chairs are wooden and really beautiful - they have different styles and some of them look like pieced-together wood slices so you can see all the edges and grains of the tree. Hard to explain, but it's a work of art. There is an outdoor patio as well, but it's right next to busy traffic.

I used to love Falafel King but the food quality (and safety) has plummeted under the new ownership. Twice now we’ve been served a side that tasted spoiled, like sour and almost bubbly. It’s inedible and they are going to make people sick. Everything else we’ve tried is just bland or sub par texture. Guess cava is the only option now!

Low key AWESOME place to grab healthy, deliciousness and take to Congress Park Taproom two doors down and have a beer. Came in just before closing time which is always a risk but came out with a really good gyro.

This is a great fast causal spot for good Mediterranean food. The prices are reasonable. The ambience needs some work- very cold atmosphere with no music or warmth.

When I was in my twenties, a day trip by bus to Boulder was a fun experience. My friends and I didn't go with any specific goals in mind, just hanging out on the 16th Street Mall, perhaps visiting a bookstore or record shop. I can't imagine spending a day so aimlessly now, and sometimes that’s a shame.

In those old days, there were one or two reliable places for lunch or dinner, and Falafel King was one of them. Such good Mediterranean food - no wonder their hummus is now featured at Whole Foods, Alfalfa's, and similar outlets. Times may have changed for me, but Falafel King is still around, and I enjoy visiting the Colorado Boulevard location. It brings a little bit of Boulder to Denver, and has a bit of the feeling of those older, younger days, too.
