This was an amazing experience as first time visitors to Crested Butte! The place is a small hole in the wall, but a true treasure. The gentleman that served us was poised and incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions. He even brought out a certificate of authenticity to show us when discussing the quality of the Waygu Yukihana uses. The food was fantastic, and the sake did not disappoint. We had the Hamachi Jalapeño (picture attached) and it was fantastic. They also had homemade wasabi that we hadn’t had anywhere else. Would recommend to anyone!

What a beautiful experience! We came here from San Antonio, Tx. It was a last minute decision to go to Yukihana and we are so happy we came! We had the Elk Avenue, The surf and turf, the miso, and the cucumber salad and they were all so delicious! The surf and turfs flavor was just perfection! To top everything off the staff was very sweet and inviting! Chef Paul even came to our table and was so sweet to us and my son and even gave him a hug! I cannot say enough about this place! Will definitely be back next time I’m in town!

This was hands down the best meal we had in town. We sat at the sushi bar and ordered the chef’s bento boxes after seeing the couple next to us eating them. They were perfection. So good. The sake selection was top-notch. We had a few bottles!! The pickled wasabi insane- addictive. The restaurant is cozy, the staff was knowledgeable and pleasant, and every table left happy and smiling.

From start to finish, this was an exceptional dining experience. Don’t miss it!

This was such an unassuming sushi restaurant— we had no idea what to expect from the outside. I am so glad we stepped inside for dinner on Saturday night. We had incredibly friendly and joyful service, delicious wine and saki, and a beautiful, melt in your mouth meal. The Elk Ave roll, Aburi, gyoza, fried mushrooms… all of it was unreal. It was such a fun dinner that I will remember for a long time. I wish I lived closer to Crested Butte so I could support this place more frequently! Thank you for a delightful evening!

If I could give 6 or 7 (or maybe more) stars I would. The best quality of sushi I have had outside of Japan or São Paulo. Get the Chef’s Bento and let the chef pick for you! The service was above and beyond and the chef came to meet us and his passion and joy for the food was infectious. The staff were incredibly knowledgable and added a tonne of value.

I could not recommend more highly.

Wow... I was blown away by the service and enthusiasm of the staff here. Sat at the bar and the sushi chef is very engaging and passionate about his work when asked. They wanted to ensure that the meal and experience was good. Would 100% go back and recommend checking them out. Averages prices around $15-25 per plate up to $100 for courses and specialized plates.

There isn’t really a word to describe how amazing this food was. Awesome, delectable, absolutely exquisite — it all falls to the flavor of this food. If you are in Crested Butte and like sushi, go here. You probably don’t even need to like sushi to love this kind of delicious food. The service was also amazing and we were told all about the sustainable sources for the fish. Then the chefs go to work to give it that perfection you won’t find anywhere else before servers bring the food to you right away. They were very helpful and made the whole experience even better. Though it is more expensive than your average sushi place, it is so much better of an experience that it is easily worth the price. If you take anything out of this review, it is that you should go here right away!
