2 words: Comfort & Relaxation. The staff was incredible. Checkin process a snap. I arrived, checked in, dropped bags off and went right to your restaurant. I was able to order my all time favorite comfort food, fried chicken and mashed potatoes. This was not how my mother served it. Who knew fried chicken and mashed potatoes could be elevated? WM Farmer and Sons. After licking my fingers, the staff delivered the most delicious sticky pudding to my room. Nothing like curling up in luxurious sheets after an amazing bath(salts included) and digging into some scrumptous sticky pudding. I felt like a queen!

Review is for the hotel and restaurant! Full five star service at both. John at the hotel could not have been warmer or kinder upon check in, and our room was stunning and well-equipped with everything we needed for a romantic getaway weekend. We watched the sun set over the mountains and saw bald eagles circling above.
We also had an incredible meal at the restaurant, and everyone took such excellent care of us. We’re leaving with huge smiles and are already planning a return trip. Can’t recommend enough!

We booked for Valentine’s Day weekend and stayed in the Fawkner Room. We had such a lovely experience for a few reasons… The room was very clean (which is very important to us), cozy, and very spacious. We appreciated that there was a fridge, our own tea kettle, and different craft beers to try out. We also appreciated that there were multiple chairs and couches to choose from to lounge on, and the fireplace also made for a very romantic feel. We also really enjoyed using the common area to go get coffee in the morning. We really appreciate how historical details like the French windows and staircase were preserved. The location was also ideal, very close walk into town.

The manager Zach was kind, personable, and went above and beyond to make us feel special on our little getaway. It really makes the experience all the more enjoyable when it feels like the staff has a vested interest in the enjoyment of your stay and we definitely got that feeling from Zach.

We both found the burger deluxe at the restaurant to be exceptional, and the setting felt very rustic while still romantic and charming.

Will definitely be back!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Wm Farmer and Sons. From the moment I booked our reservation, I received great communication through email regarding check-in, parking, and things to do in the area. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome and loved our suite in the Merchant House which was immaculate and cozy for a wintry weekend stay. Attention to detail is clearly something that matters to the owners and was very much appreciated as the trip was a birthday surprise for my husband. We opted to dine at the restaurant the first night which had great food, atmosphere and craft cocktails. We loved it so much we went back for dollar oysters the next day before heading out. I would definitely recommend to friends, and know we will be back again to experience Hudson in the Spring of Fall. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very comfortable beds, spacious, lovely bathroom and tub. A large king room at a great price. I’d stay again if I were in the area. And an accommodating staff! I wish we could have tried the restaurant but we had reservations nearby. Highly recommend.

My girlfriends and I visited Hudson just for a quick getaway from the chaos of our lives for the weekend- and Wm Farmer & Sons treated us great! We stayed in ‘The Pint’ room and we especially enjoyed having a kitchen and on-site parking. The room was very clean and the staff was super helpful. Would recommend for a trip with family or friends as they have all accommodations you could need.

My fiance and I went for our anniversary weekend. Bubbly waiting in the room for us, clear communication the entire stay. Wonderful restaurant and location in town and to the train. Highly recommend for your next weekend getaway. Strongly recommend giving them a visit.
