Talk about garbage service! Continually raising rates yet the quality of the service drops commensurately. Most recently, I was trying to use the online chat feature to report a now two day late missed pick up of the green waste cans. I reported the issue when it was one day late and was assured that the truck would be back out by 6 PM that very day to correct the issue. That did not take place. You have to wait several minutes in queue to speak to an agent. But if you can’t type a response in time, the agent instantly hangs up on you. When I finally got a hold of someone and reported this, my concern was barely acknowledged. In exasperation, I again attempted to ask that this information be passed to management so that customer service agents are more patient. I was lectured for using the word “hell” and was threatened to be hung up on yet again. I was given no explanation or apology for the missed pick up. When I asked, if my neighbors on myself will receive a rebate for the lack of service, I was told no. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told I would have to wait one or two days to magically receive an email from them because they couldn’t possibly get back to me any sooner. It must be nice being a monopoly. I shall be urging my county board of supervisors to drop the contract with waste management. They clearly don’t appreciate their customer.
