Windflower Farm is wonderful. They supply my CSA in Brooklyn and always have a beautiful range of vegetables throughout the entire 21-week season. They deliver the weekly share on time and are very organized - ensuring they are supplying the proper counts for our membership.

The 1-star reviewer on here must have eaten some sour grapes. First of all, of course we have to pay in advance. We are supporting the farm and they need the influx of membership dues so they can keep the farm running. It's not like they are taking our dues and running away with them.

Additionally, the comments about the cardboard boxes and plastic bags is just plain ignorant. These were a necessity to create the safest transfer and least amount of touchpoints in COVID times. Also, the plastic bag ban doesn't even apply in this situation.

And finally, personally, I love the weekly "on the farm" updates we get from the farmer. It's rare that I don't learn something about farming from reading the weekly updates.

Thanks Windflower!

Avoid this CSA. The people are exceptionally rude. There are many wonderful CSA farms in the Hudson Valley but this is not one of them. After paying advance for their soil amendments, seeds, labor and fossil fuel costs to transport their produce from north of Albany to Brooklyn they make many demands such as taking their cardboard boxes and plastic which is illegal in NYC. They send long emails which never includes the pickup address. Sad to say its is not the best a modern day farm can do by a long shot. It's best not to support a farm like this until they learn how to respect their customers. My sense is their CSA Is too big to care about clients.
