It was a fantastic experience for first time camper. We had a group of 8 people and rent the “turtle” camp site, which is right by the creek. The location was perfect and large enough to at least hold 3-4 tents. You woke up with birds singing and sun shining. Anna and Justin are the most friendly people I have ever met. The amenities are very clean and well maintained. They total have 3 toilets and 2 large shower rooms (including changing room). Morning coffee is also offered. There are also two tours included - The mushrooms workshop and wild edible plants workshop. Definitely recommended for a weekend trip and kids friendly as wells

We had an amazing weekend at Wild Hudson Valley! The tends are so spacious and the facilities are very high end. All is clean and they have thought on every detail.
The creek is beautiful too and was refreshing on a hot day.

What made it extra special is Justin and Anna's knowledge and passion, their walks are so interesting and made our city kids become country side kids instantly.

The other guests were so nice too, our kids made friends and played the whole weekend, and having a shared and individual fireplaces allows privacy if you want, but also to have fun with other guests.

We loved our stay and all we learnt and no doubt we will be back.

I had Anna and Justin come do a forest farming site assessment with me and it was worth every penny. I own 9 acres of northwest facing slope where I hope to grow ramps, ginseng, and other native forest edibles/ botanicals. These two were super easy to communicate with and accommodating of ongoing scheduling issues. They did great prep for our walk and during our site assessment gave me some really great tips for better ramp propagation and some clearer specifics on indicator species and soil preferences for ginseng. Would you believe it: their skills led us right to a patch of mature sang growing right under my nose-- in an area I had hoped would be good for it! Now I can't wait to buy some seed and root stock from them and get going.

If you're looking to get started and need some helpful eyes and minds I definitely recommend booking some time with these two (and their adorable kids). Thanks y'all!

A glamping weekend with my teenage son at Wild Hudson Valley exceeded our expectations by far. The tent and beds were clean and comfy. There is a bathhouse that is way nicer than it needs to be, with clean and solid fixtures and amenities. Plenty of firewood was stacked up near our fire pit (and it was restocked during out stay), and there was a shelter with a picnic table steps from the tent, along with storage for food. We chose to order the breakfast that was delivered to our picnic tables, and so each morning started off with truly amazing baked goods from a nearby bakery -- the “bagel bombs” were da bomb! Othrewise, we grilled over the fire pit. The surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous, with creeks and trails galore. But the surprise bonus that topped all others was the incredible hospitality and depth of historical knowledge and expertise provided by our hosts, Anna and Justin. We knew we would be going on some guided walks, but didn’t really know what to expect. Well, here is what to expect: Anna is a genius at knowing the land, and she was able to show us the wild edibles, having us sample what she found. The land has been in her family for generations, and she knows it like it is all her backyard – because it is. As for Justin, he is a walking encyclopedia of plant, animal, and Native American history and lore. Justin has a back story for every plant, animal, place name, historical figure, tradition, and trail. He was so generous with his knowledge and also patient with my child and the other younger kids who were also there that weekend, and what he has to share is fascinating. Anna and Justin enriched our experience many times over with their deep knowledge of the land and its inhabitants, past and present. We will definitely return next year.

We booked a spur of the moment getaway from NYC, and Wild Hudson Valley was exactly the restorative respite we needed. The tents were more spacious, comfortable and well-appointed than we expected. (Spring for the linen and towel service; well worth it.) The bathrooms and showers were the cleanest and nicest we’ve ever seen at a campground. The hosts, Justin and Anna, have thought of everything and executed their vision so well with lovely touches like wildflowers in the bath house and on picnic tables, battery powered lanterns, games, rope swing, cornhole, firewood, dishes and utensils, etc. You can truly feel the love they have for this eco-camp, the land, the history and lore of this special place and for their guests. We are grateful for our chance to star gaze, reset and learn from their rich knowledge. Highly recommend.

Our family stayed at the Eco Camp and were blown away by the care and detail Anna and Justin have put into creating a welcoming and meaningful stay. The facilities are new and pristine and include a beautiful bathhouse and wonderful interpretive center (the kids particularly enjoyed the games). The programming they offer throughout the stay really connects you with the other likeminded people staying and deepens your knowledge of the local area and its environmental and social history. We stayed during a particularly hot weekend and the beautiful cool creek was a lifesaver. The kids will not forget catching fireflies in Anna's childhood bug catcher. We are inspired by the work Justin and Anna have committed themselves to.

I can’t say enough good things about this place! The hosts are knowledgeable, generous, and warm. The campsite has so many thoughtful details—rope around the inside of the picnic area to hang wet clothes, for instance, freshly picked wildflowers, a really great cast iron pan and chef’s knife. The land and the creek are breathtaking. I learned so much from them while I was there, and our kids had a blast catching fireflies, splashing in the creek, and playing in the meadow. What a joy!

My order of American Ginseng seeds (2 oz.) shipped promptly and arrived promptly. They arrived yesterday in wonderful condition, and the seller included directions that provided helpful sowing information. The amount of seeds in 2 oz. is substantial--and for a great price. I got about half of the seeds sown into three large flats and put outside already. The remaining half I plan to donate to my local nature center and share with planty friends. Will definitely order from Wild Hudson Valley again!
