This was our first experience with White Mountain Meat Packing. Lowell was very responsive to our needs We took a 2 year old grass fed angus steer for processing. We were very happy with his work! Each package of beef was wrapped in plastic wrap and separated by paper then wrapped in butcher paper! He is very patient, thorough and concerned for the quality of his work. We also purchased some jerky that he has available in his shop. As self proclaimed jerky connoisseurs, his is amazing! Highly recommend and grab some jerky while you are there!

Contacted White Mountain Meat Packing this weekend after a management elk hunt. Lowell was super helpful taking in our elk on short notice outside of the normal hunting season.

Lowell has been taking care of me since 2020. He always takes the time to make it possible for me to bring in my wild game to be processed. One year he even me met me on a Sunday morning before he had to go to church. He definately takes care of his customers especially if you have been giving him his business for years. I will not take my game anywhere else. He packages his meat where theres no freezer burn at all!. I have had it packed in two ways, his standard packing and vacuum sealed. The other day I took some elk meat I had leftover from 2021 in his standard packaging and there wasnt a speck of feezer burn on it, it was still good. He has taught me how to cape an animal as well, but that was a slow day when he did. I love picking up his beef jerky every chance I get, peppered and green chile are my go to's. I definately love his simmer sausges too, I always gotta have him make me 5-10 lbs worth every time I bring in wild game to him. He is a very honest and a genuine man. I've enjoyed his business these past few years and will continue to appreciate what he does for many years to come.

My hunting partner and I are avid archery elk hunters. Over the years we have taken a lot of elk , both bulls and cows. Finding a butcher that does a really good job can be tough. We are extremely diligent as to keeping the elk clean because elk are excellent table fare. This year we each took a cow elk and elected to use White Mountain Meat Packing to process our animals. Lowell Petersen, the owner, was very easy to work with. He gave us 24 hour contact for bringing our elk in for processing. This is a great help, as the weather was very warm, and we were able to get the animals to processing on a moments notice. Lowell aged our elk for 10 days per our request and we got our own animals back. The meat was double wrapped, frozen and boxed for pickup. We have since tried the burger and it is excellent. The steaks are also beautifully processed. The meat was trimmed very well and double wrapped. First it is wrapped in a plastic wrap and then wrapped in white freezer wrap. My wife is really impressed as to the cleanliness of the meat as well as the packaging. I only hope Lowell stays in business as we plan on using him in the future. I highly recommend Lowell Petersen's White Mountain Meat Packing and thank Lowell for the great job of processing for me.

Very friendly, go above and beyond to help when you contact them once our elk was down. They automatically let us know that they hang it for a couple of weeks and provide you with a form so you can choose how you want your meat packed. We received a call a few weeks later that our meat was ready. We let them know we would pick it up by Sunday. We were so happy how our elk meat was packaged and the owner made sure to let us know how the chorizo was a different color than the ground.....so happy with it all! We will be bringing all future game here! Thank you White Mountain Meat Packing!!

Lowell Petersen's White Mountain Meat Packing is our place in the White Mountains! We can only highly recommend this business to anyone. Lowell and and all Associates are very professional, friendly and courteous. Customer Service like it used to be in the old days. So far, Lowell has processed 11 pigs for us. Every single time, the meat processing and cuts, ground beef and bacon slices are done to our extreme satisfaction. Also, the packaging is absolutely wonderful. My wife is very impressed how neat and clean the packaging was done. Our Roasts, Hams, Ham Hocks, Pork Chops, and Bacon Strips are separated with wax paper, than wrapped in plastic, and again wrapped in wax paper. So far, no other butcher is even coming close to the extreme excellent way of meat packing. Furthermore, Lowell and his Associates were and are willing and able to teach us how to cull, gut and skin our pigs. What a great help and wonderful way this is to learn "Hands ON"! Lowell, Thank you very much for all your help, support and teaching. We will see you very soon again with four more gilts. Lowell is an honest guy who will take care of you and the meat he prepares. Great flavors on sausage, jerky, bacon, really everything has been awesome. He processed my elk and is sure to give you your processed meat back. Highly recommended processor and meat shop.
