Dining at Walkers Bluff Tasting Room was a pleasure. The steak was cooked exactly to my liking and the side of potatoes was satisfying. My daughter's chicken Alfredo pizza was a hit. The quality of the meal warrants high praise. Additionally, the cave tour was fascinating.

When you THINK you are at this winery and see the General Store..keep driving. Follow the signs to the TASTING ROOM/ restaurant. It's like coming up on a wine lodge in the middle of a field. After 2 days of doing the southern IL wine trail this menu beats ALL OTHERS. Best charcuterie board and best pizza. Great rosé and service as well!!

The decor inside the winery restaurant is great - dark wood and whisky bar feel. The wine was good and service friendly but not where one would expect. There was a dirty table with dishes on it for well over 45 minutes behind us and we ended up clearing our dishes and putting them at an empty table next to us to make more room. The service could very well be due to lack of staffing - a common issue so many places face. The food, was mediocre - nothing special. The pizza was wasn’t even good enough to eat as left overs, the steak melt had little flavor and the fries over done, the risotto and salmon were good. While Walker’s Bluff would not come to mind when thinking of a good place to eat, we would absolutely return for the winery experience. If that is what you are looking for - don’t hesitate to try it out.

I had my Birthday there this weekend! Everyone was soooo sweet to me and my party! And Tomi made us the best food that I’ve had in southern Il! I had such a good time and I’ll definitely will be back!

We went to Walker Bluff Winery to watch the total solar eclipse. This was our first time staying at a Harvest Host, and our experience was outstanding. Every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. We ate three meals in the Tasting Room, and my wife and I highly recommend the Chicken Caprese Sandwich (so much that I will experiment with recipes at home). I talked to the manager, and he approved us staying two nights. There is plenty of room for RVs and plenty of places to explore. Check out the Wine Cave; it leads to the Tasting Room, furnished with unique items.

I was so excited about doing the Mother's Day Buffet today, but I was highly disappointed. We had reservations. They ran out of fried chicken and steak as soon as we got there, it took over 30 minutes before they brought more out. I ate the chicken strips from the kid's buffet. The sides were just "ok" and the salad was minimal at best. This would have been fine if we hadn't thought we were getting a special meal for Mother's Day. We paid $38 each, plus drinks (iced tea and Diet Coke), and a tip. Definitely not worth the money. I don't recommend this place. We won't be going back.

Spanky Entertainment Dueling Pianos had the pleasure of performing for a New Year's Eve wedding reception at Walker's Bluff over the weekend, and as a vendor, everything was perfect! The on-site event coordinator, Kelsey, was fabulous and made sure that we were taken care of and well-informed all evening. Gorgeous and unique venue and friendly and helpful staff!
