Super nice and professional. It was my niece's birthday, and they made her feel special! 🄰

The food was delicious, , i had chicken fajitas.

I also like the way they cook their salsa chips.

Great atmosphere, feels authentic inside, difficult to believe you're still in Illinois... 🄰

Viva La fiesta is my favorite local Mexican spot. The street tacos are really good, so is the chicken on the beach, and the fajitas, and I really like their queso fundido and choriqueso. They do a pretty good torta as well. I think the key to really enjoying this place is getting away from your typical white person Mexican food and trying some of their more unique or traditional fare. Also, super nice service every time I've gone here in person, and even when I order their food for delivery, it travels well and tastes great.

Great place to go to enjoy a wonderful meal and live band (Sat night). This was my husband and I first time. We really enjoyed it. Food was amazing! Great taste and huge portions for a good price. The waitresses and staff were super friendly and nice. My husband and I have decided this will be our monthly place to come too for our get away date. (From STL, MO).

I ordered an entree to go for my lunch , i was extremely disappointed that the bell peppers were hard as a rock as well as the onions , the steak was tough . Since I’m an overnight worker and i took my lunch late around 12 am ,i didn’t notice the food was nasty until the restaurant was already closed . When i got off of work at 7am they still weren’t open , so i preceded to call when i woke up around 2 pm . I explained the situation to the lady on the phone , she said since i didn’t call the day of and i had already eaten some of the food i wasn’t able to get it replaced . This has NOT been my first negative encounter with this restaurant but it will most certainly be my last , i will never come to this establishment again . The lack of empathy that they don’t have for your hard earned money is disturbing. She offered me a discount instead of a replacement even though the meal wasn’t up to par . This has happened one to many times , i will never give this restaurant another chance . 0/10 don’t recommend

The atmosphere was good, service was good, I was just getting a takeout order, we haven't tried them before, wanted to check it out, getting it to go was maybe not the best Choice, but the food was still good, a little salty for our taste, but that could just be us, next time we'll dine in and see how if it's better. Definitely a place to try if you're craving Mexican. They also have daily special for food and drinks.

I’ve given this place more chances than deserved. Every time my order gets messed up whether I dine in or order out, at this point I expect the order to be wrong. But this was the last time. I Ordered birria tacos with no onion and a side of rice to go. I received birria tacos with wayyy too much onion and the side of rice. With me being at work i called back and explained the order wrong and need it to be corrected. They asked to bring the food back. I had my girlfriend pick up the food, drive there, replace it and drop it off. Opening the bag again I realize they gave me birria tacos with slightly less onions, consome with onion, no more limes on the side, old bag of chips(that comes with it naturally) and what looks like beard hair in the food in multiple spots on each taco, i posted a photo of an example before I found the rest. I am disgusted and done with the place.

I've eaten here twice since the restaurant changed names. The food was good and I enjoyed it enough that I returned a second time. The interior remains the same as the former business (Catrina's). I enjoyed the Pollo Cancun on my last visit. That's shrimp, chicken and cheese sauce. The Chimi Cheesecake dessert was great!

I ordered the Mexican layer dip, with beef, beans, pico and cheese. It was good but I would prefer less beef and more of the other stuff. I had the special dinner just to try everything. It came on two big plates! Surprisingly the items I liked best were the chile relleno and the bean chalupa. The taco, enchilada and tamale were not great.
