Adam at vital needs to learn a bit in the field of customer service. I called for a quote, and then within an hour they called back twice to see if I was ready to move forward with the purchase. Which I had already expressed to them that when I was, if I was, I would personally get back in touch with them. Then comes the next day and I get three calls within three minutes in the middle of a meeting. I expressed my concerns that this was more than frustrating as well as unprofessional and that the moment I decide to make a purchase, they would be the first to know. This, however, was still not satisfactory to Adam and I received more rude/passive aggressive responses. I’ve worked with this company for almost 10 years now and this is by far the rudest encounter I’ve had with them. In general they are very professional business who I’ve had nothing but good luck with (which is why they are receiving three stars instead of two ). This experience however may have turned me away from them for good. There are plenty of companies who supply the same Types of products all across the northern California region who know how to talk to customers.

Vital garden supply makes the highest quality organic amendments and fertilizers in Northern California. The products are top notch and we see visible results compared to cheaper, more generic alternatives. The staff is friendly and super knowledgeable. I drove an hour and a half to deal with them directly because I respect what they do and I'd rather give them business directly. It was worth it, and I will continue to visit when I need Premium amendments and fertilizers.

This is my first time buying soil with vital. They’ve had great reviews and great feedback from my friends. This is my first year using their soil and the soil has been sucking the life out of my plants. They admit that the most recent soil batches are bad and causing great problems for other people. I would avoid using their soil at all costs until they figure out the problem
