Loved my experience here! Used to volunteer at the food banks here in town and wow what another great community idea to minimize food waste! Big fan great selection and super happy staff! Not for low income either, just a way for the community to sponsor with surrounding stores to minimize waste. Don’t be shy! Check them out!

Excellent free food pantry (or make a donation/volunteer a few hrs) with great selection of fruits veggies, pasta and meats. Also vegan and gluten free items. Great community!

This food rescue has helped our single income family numerous times now. The rotation of food is truly like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to find here- this goes for all of the amazing and friendly workers and volunteers, there is truly no judgement.
They survive off of donations which can be as little $1 anything helps as well as volunteering! Thank you for all that you do, this organization needs to be spread everywhere.

I have been unemployed and my unemployed ran out. I have used the food bank, and I appreciate the help from the food bank, but here I was able to choose what I needed. I did give a donation and all the food I obtained I have meals planned.

Vindeket is another gem that Fort Collins offers. I initially started coming weekly as a customer and then wanted to be a bigger part of the mission and have since volunteered. The passion behind this mission and the community response is amazing. Yes, there is imperfect produce, yes there is expired food. But imperfect and expired are not synonymous with bad or dangerous. As a society we have this false perception of what is good and bad based on arbitrary rules. These rules are for the profit of the industries and not for the benefit of us or Mother Earth.

Vindeket does not fall trap to those false perceptions and instead embraces the misfits, the bruised but not broken, the old but not dead.

Vindeket brings back the feeling of buying a dollar store surprise grab bag as a child. I never knew what goodies I was going to get until I opened the bag, just like at vindy, I never know what I’m going to get until I’m there because what is donated changes weekly. Who doesn’t love a good surprise?

Vindeket is one way that any northern coloradoan can help to build a better world, protect our environment, and benefit themselves in the mean time!

What a fun place to go. I do the farmers market at foothills Mall and someone came to me asking for damaged goods or product that they could give away at Vindeket foods.

Be prepared to wait in line and be patient. There’s a lot of amazing volunteers making this place happen. Don’t go in looking for perfect items, these are items that might be a little past their date or damaged but they’re still good. You never know what you’re going to get so it’s a bit of a treasure hunt. You pick and choose what you want and it’s different each time because they pick up from stores who are clearance out items or donating them because they are close or pass to sell by date.

Dress warmly if it’s cold outside because you will probably have to wait in line. Don’t park in any of the parking lots because they will tow there’s free parking further down on the street.
