A vibrant market, full of colors, tastes and scents. You can find fruits, vegetables, meats, bakery goods. Everything fresh, coming from the producers.
Maybe as a tourist you are not interested in visiting a market, but I would advise you to think twice and maybe change your mind. It's a great experience going to a open air market in NYC.

This is a nice farmers market. We get many things from flowers, meat, eggs, dairy, trinkets, art etc. It’s a nice way to spend time understanding local farmers and their produce.

One of the top 3 most incredible parts of this wonderful wonderful city is the union square farmers market. The vegetables are vibrant and brimming with nutrition, walking around all this good stuff is uplifting and the mood is generally jovial barring an occasional spat among buyers. The entire scene is quintessential New York including the spats where the patient vendors never intervene and the squabblers eventually move on 😂 and so do we, onto delicious breads from Bread Alone and enjoying the vibe of this fantastic institution.

Great vendors and local area produce. Particulary enjoyed Knead Love gluten free baked goods. Fantastic way to enjoy your Thomkins Bagel and coffee while wondering through the market.

This outdoor market has an eclectic wild atmosphere. A great mosaic of people generating turbulent activity. Witness everything from Krishna's chanting, artists painting portraits or people silently playing chess to vendors patiently awaiting a sale of anything from a lobster roll or wheatgrass juice to a dye scarf, drugs or handmade jewelry. Whether it be paintings, food or apparel you should be able to lose your self in this urban bazaar haggle over the price of a snack, an article of clothing, a piece of art or just be passive as a spectator of a challenging game of chess in this arena. Don't blink, keep it moving but watch your step. There are a lot of dogs.

It's that time of year again. Always a lovely market, but even better when spring is starting to, uhh, spring? Picked up some lovely veggies for dinner tonight, feels better than paying corporations who have been ripping us off since covid.

The Union Square Greenmarket is bustling with people. Spring asparagus isn’t here yet but there are so many other stalls selling meats, poultry, breads, diary all from artisanal farms. This market is large with an area separated that has chess and backgammon players. Today I saw a small truck selling beignets and chicory coffee from New Orleans. Dave and Alex run the show. I stopped to get four beignets which cost $8. I sat down to eat it on a stone seat. Worth every penny for the warm powdered sugar hat!

Loved this market. We stumbled upon it by accident when waiting for my parents and I just loved it.
Such a great farmers market with great produce and loads of different things to buy. The venders were super friendly and eager to share about their produce and products. Big recommendation!
