I purchased a tractor from True Value Trailers in Penrose , CO in December 2024 that was delivered in January, 2025. Everything was going well through the purchase phase. After that not so well. I live in New Mexico and could not find the tractor I wanted here so that is why I went through True Value. They seemed to have good ratings.

I had some specific questions about the tractor which at first they answered. One being since they were filling the rear tires with the Rim Guard solution, I had concerns about rubber valve stems. There have been issues with Rim Guard about deteriating the adhesive on the rubber valve stems and then starting to leak. I called Rim Guard about this and they confirmed this and that the tires should have brass valve stems due to this issue.

Chris, the person I dealt with through out the purchase process assured me that they use metal/brass valve stems. When I received the tractor I noticed one rear tire had a brass one and one had a rubber one. I emailed Chris to let him know and sent him pics. I received no response at all. Attached are the pics. All I wanted to know is what I have to do to correct this.

The only time he would respond was if I had something good to note. One being that when the tractor arrived and I used it for an hour or so I noticed the hydraulics were leaking. I let him know this and he felt if was just residual from them installing a 3rd function. I found out the leak weren't coming from the 3rd function lines. The hydraulic lines to the loader needed tightening. I let Chris know that I had tightened the lines and thought I stopped the leaks. His response was "great".

Now to the next issue:

I wanted to add a better tie down point to the tractor. I found an item online that bolted to the front frame. I just had to remove 6 bolts and install it where the brush guard is bolted to the frame.

When I started removing the bolts, it was very difficult to get 4 of the 6 out. When the brush guard was installed they used SAE bolts instead of the M14 1.5 metric bolts. The SAE bolts have courser threads that pretty much stripped out the threads. See bolt pics. Also attached is a picture of the two bolts that were correct. Luckily I could chase the threads with the proper tap and everything went together fine but I shouldn't have to do this. I feel their assembly crew needs some supervision and training.

I like the tractorI and have 7 hours on it now and am not sure what I will find in the future.

True Value Trailers has a 5 Paw rating from Kioti. Chris said it took them two years to get this rating. I feel Kioti should be doing some audits. It seems like once you get past the sales part, everything else falls on deaf ears.

I think they are probably a good dealership but lack a little in quality control

I have done business with this family owned business for many years. I have never had a problem with their business or there products until today. I purchased a chainsaw from this family owned business they put the fluids in it for me and also said that this chainsaw would cut through pine wood with no issue. Once I got home the problems I ran into is it having problems starting and staying started and it not cutting through the pine wood. When i took it back into the store the service tech said that the fluids they put in were running "too rich". The service tech said they did a "5 minute tune up" on it. I brought the chainsaw back home and yet again having problems starting the chainsaw and cutting the pine would. I returned to the store approximately 20 minutes after bringing the chainsaw home. I explained what was going on and the service tech took my chainsaw to the back and cut a 2x4 with it and stated "It's cutting, I don't see anything wrong with it". I then told him that I am cutting pine wood with it and I also told them that I was told by the sales customer that sold it to me that it was more then capable of cutting pine. They asked me to bring a piece of the wood I was cutting with it to the store. That's when I had enough! The one year warranty won't cover the product because the service tech says nothing is wrong with it (so what is a warranty for?). I am a disabled veteran trying to make a living off a small disability check and all I asked is for my money back (I understand they won't give it back because a 7 day not satisfied return and I was past that) or a different chainsaw (which they absolutely refused to offer due to the opinion of a service tech). This business couldn't even do that for me so now I'm out $200 plus dollars and without a chainsaw to cut fire wood to stay warm. I am disappointed in the customer service and the fact that I am loyal customer. I have spent a lot of money here but I guess after this not anymore.
If you watch the videos it clearly shows the issues of not starting up, smoking, and not cutting the wood. I have left another picture of the chainsaw BURNING the wood.

A product is only as good as the dealer that backs it up. Bailey Collins the service manager has gone above and beyond to get my trailer warranty pushed through and the repairs done. Today people like Bailey are rare and often not appreciated. Thank you Bailey I've appreciated all you've done for me.

The shop was backed up on Friday when my appointment for our camper was scheduled and they couldn't get to it until Monday. But, when they found out I was planning on taking it on a trip this week Bailey and Brian went above and beyond, staying late to get the job done. Really appreciate the extra effort and the great job they did.

This is a truly excellent trailer repair shop. I've taken a variety of trailers (utility, stock, horse living quarter) to them over the years and they just don't miss on customer service or the quality of work. They are super fair on pricing. Whoever is troubleshooting their wiring/electrical work is top notch. Thanks Bailey and team!

I can't say enough about Bailey and the customer service I received. There was an issue with some axles and Bailey went above and beyond to get the issues resolved. She communicates honestly and directly, kept me posted throughout the process. Bailey is extremely knowledgeable and gives rationale for how/why things are done. In a time when work ethic and follow through are almost non existent, Bailey and the entire crew are far above the norm. I would highly recommend them for any trailer needs.

A good experience. Came in for trailer wheel hub and tire. They showed me that electric brakes had failed. They have parts in stock so repairs can be made right away. Got me turned around quickly and for a fair price. Thanks Bailey!
