First time trying Tong Sake House. I wanted some ramen but my wife is not a huge ramen fan, so we thought we'd give them a shot. We're glad we did!

My Tonkotsu ramen was good but not great. I added the egg, which was perfectly done. Very good broth, but the pork was not as tender as it could have been. The noodles were just right.

My wife tried the Shrimp Teriyaki bento box. Outstanding! Perfectly prepared shrimp, nicely flavored. She ate all of her gyoza before I could get a bite, but she said they were tasty. Miso soup was good... not too salty, which sometimes happens.

She had a draft beer and I had hot house sake. They also have a bar, but I don't know how extensive.

We'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Hole in a wall find. The poke and ramen was a delightful surprise 😮 like surprisingly good. We nose dived, head first in & over ordered. No regrets. Everything was delicious!

Ok, let's talk about...
Tongs Sake House is where the base drops!
From sushi, to ramen, to bento boxes, these guys have a good meal at a good price without a DOUBT. My favorite has to be the Baked Sake Roll and the Katsu Bento Box. The portions are powerful and the flavor is poppin.
Staff is very friendly and does a great job of checking in on you. The atmosphere is peaceful and smells fantastic.
Do yourself a favor, eat here.

I ordered the 11:30am pick-up special lunch box, selecting the salmon poke and kimchi pork. While the salmon poke was great, I found the kimchi pork to be very disappointing. There was an overwhelming amount of kimchi and very little pork. However, everything else in the bento was delicious and well-prepared.

Update:
Went back with a friend for lunch and got their spicy tonkatsu ramen and bulgulgi bowl combo again. Price was increased to $19.99 now.
I had the big bowl of ramen for lunch and took the bulgulgi rice bowl home for my dinner later that night. The spicy tonkatsu was really good. It wasn't too spicy and had a very rich creamy tonkatsu broth. Very yummy!

The tonkotsu ramen and bulgulgi bowl combo consists of a full size bowl of ramen and a small bowl of rice with bulgulgi.
The ramen was ok but service was great. Very friendly staff and our waitress was so attentive. She's friendly and took care of our party.

Strip mall surprise! Food, service and atmosphere were great. It was gone before I could take pics.🤪 Two starters, two entries. $52 and it was a lot of food. We had the bibimbab and bulgogi rice bowls with jalapeno bombs and fancy fries. Authentic and delicious.

This place is a popular spot in Poway. It's a Korean Japanese fusion restaurant. I like the atmosphere and service here. But the foods here are so so. They didn't meet my expectations. Takoyaki is too oily. Bulgogi is so sweet. I don’t really recommend these two dishes. Tofu salad is fine, it’s giant with a lot of greens.

Such an awesome date night. Very quaint and relaxing vibe. Their prices were awesome and the sushi was so fresh. The service was well timed and efficient. Our server Victoria was very attentive and sweet. After we paid, she said we couldn’t leave without dessert and treated us to an amazing matcha cheesecake. It was such a wonderful date night! We can’t wait to go back
