Great place to take your kids, or heck, just to look around. There is a large variety of animals - goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks, geese, chickens, cows, pigs. It’s free, and you can bring your own vegetables (celery and lettuce only!) to feed the animals. A real hidden gem in Tilden.

I took my friend there, and he likes it. The only downside if you have allergies; just know where the wind blows.
The staff are truly nice. Make sure you bring lettuce and celery to feed the animals.
It's best to go there early in the morning when there's not a lot of people and the parking space is plenty.
Fyi, the office of more information about the park is closed on Monday. That was our mistake.

Nestled within Tilden park, the Little Farm is a charming and educational destination perfect for families and animal lovers of all ages.

The farm features a variety of friendly animals, including goats, rabbits, cows, and chickens, all of which are well-cared-for and approachable. The opportunity to feed and interact with the animals was a highlight, especially for the children, who were thrilled to get up close and personal with them.

The staff at the Little Farm are knowledgeable and welcoming, always ready to share interesting facts about the animals and the farm’s history. The little red barn was built in 1955 by vocational students from the Berkeley high school.

What stood out most was the farm's commitment to education and sustainability. The informative signs and exhibits provided great insights into animal care and the importance of sustainable farming practices. It's a wonderful way to teach kids about nature and where their food comes from in an engaging and hands-on manner.
