Very pretty location, staff was very friendly and helpful, and the honey was delicious. I got the large peanut butter cup and it was so good! Great gifts for others, as well. Highly recommend!

3/30/25. What a neat place to go! These are folks who love bees and honey as much as the local winemakers love their grapes and wine.

The tasting was a lot of fun. I had never given much thought to how honey tastes different depending on the bees or location of their hive.

The gift shop was a little pricey, but you know that it's all legit honey and not the stuff mixed with additives and other junk. If you love honey (or want to taste something different than wine) this is a great place!

First bonus tip: If you go in the colder months, bring a warm jacket. There are walls, but the place is largely open, so it's not climate controlled. You'll thank me for this tip on a cold day!

Second bonus tip: The chocolate honey is to die for. It smells like a chocolate bar and tastes even better.

This place is beautiful. We visited in the dead of winter at 3°, and still appreciated it. Ceiling-high honeycombed mesh doors lead to the semi open-air main area, where there's little tables to sit with dried flower arrangements on each. Through an identical set of doors out the back is a patio with more seating that overlooks what in summer would be a grassy lawn.

Besides a wide variety of honeys, the shop inside sold hot tea and sweets, as well as looseleaf teas, beeswax candles, tinctures, art prints, and other small sundries. Each hot tea came with honey on the side. Honeys were available in a few sizes, the littlest being 3 for $10, and there were gift sets available as well.

Despite the bitter cold, someone from the kitchen opposite the shop greeted us soon after walking in and waited patiently as we looked over everything. The tea was delicious and we got a few snacks to go. I imagine it would be lovely to sit and enjoy it (or an iced version) in the warmer seasons. Would absolutely recommend!

My husband and I visited on a cold afternoon in February, and absolutely loved The Honeybee Embassy! The shop is so cute, and full of a variety of products! The staff were happy to help us, and even sold us on a box of Valentine's chocolates. We'd love to visit again when in the area!

What a great concept - honey tasting! Loved the varieties of honey from different parts of the globe. We went during the coldest day of winter, and there was no indoor heating, but it was still an enjoyable experience. Best to visit in spring, summer or fall.
