This place was amazing... honestly when I sat down and ordered steak fingers and french fries, I wasn't expecting much. I was thinking like Dairy Queen steak fingers... WRONG... wow! This country fried steak was pan fried, well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It lasted like it came out of my home kitchen! The only problem that I had was that they didn't have gravy on the menu... but then the chef prepared a classic country cream gravy for me as a kind gesture. It was perfectly prepared 👌.

Chef... you should put that gravy on the menu!

This was a great, friendly little place for dinner. Our server (I'm sorry I didn't get your name, but wishing you well on your wedding!!) was super friendly, informative, and very welcoming. The place has a nice, slower feeling speed to it, even though it was busy.
I had the Yak burger, which was very good! Tasty and lean. The fries were very good, crispy but not firm, if that makes sense.
My partner had the Baseball steak, and loved it.

Highly recommend this place as a good spot if you're passing through!

Love this place! If I lived here, this would be one of my hangouts. The food was fresh, and the flavor combinations were delicious! My companions and I had the Asian salad, zucchini fritters, a panini and a turkey sandwich.
It is perhaps a little bit expensive, but we didn't mind because we loved everything!
I immediately felt comfortable and welcomed in this charming bistro. It has a very "homey" feel. We all enjoyed the interesting and unique decor, including the live plants as centerpieces on every table. Cute, cute, cute!

Excellent food that feels unique, healthy and diverse. Excellent portion sizes with the impression that the ingredients are fresh. The interior design is eclectic in a charming and unpretentious way. Service was friendly without feeling false.

Overall, I felt I was getting quality food at a good price made by people who put care into their business and their food.

Located in the old post office dated back to 1910, it is a great farm to table restaurant. This place has a great atmosphere, though it is a bit dark, and had pictures up from local photographers.

The food is all homemade, and you can tell. The kids' chicken tenders were fresh, and the frys were also freshly cut. The burger was the perfect size, not too big and not small. It was just right, pun intended. And it looked like even the pickels were fresh and not jared. Salad size was perfect and was full of flavor.

Staff was friendly and attentive to make for a great dining experience. If ever in Cortez, this is your must go dining spot. We will be back next time we are in the area.

This has been our favorite place to dine in our 10+ years as a couple.
It was an all around experience , so much so we had to come back again so we could have it as a last meal before we headed back to Texas.
The lamb meatballs were exceptional, but the bratwurst plate with the hot German potato salad and kraut absolutely sealed the deal.
The drinks were on point and I’m still dreaming of the brie cheese appetizer .
We will definitely be back again when we come to the area.
And shout out to Caroline!
We enjoyed every minute of her service. ♥️

My cleaned plate should attest to how much I loved the food here. The bread and butter at the beginning was delicious. The “romaine salad with garlic cream dressing” was a Caesar, basically, which I assumed when ordering. And, maybe I was especially hungry today, but I remarked to my fiancé that this was the best Caesar salad I ever had. Crisp, fresh, great croutons, and GREAT homemade dressing. The Moroccan lamb Meatballs with potatoes, crispy kale, goat cheese, and curry sauce was a stunner (the cleaned plate) Also their hibiscus iced tea was tart and awesome! We are on a road trip and did not expect to find a place this good!!! I wish I had a place this good near me back in New York. Absolutely eat here!!!!!! P.S. we got a brownie to go and it was also delicious.
