I’ve had some great experiences at The Farm in the past, which is why I was so disappointed with my visit today. I understand they were busy, but after waiting 25 minutes, I realized my order hadn’t even been started. When I finally got my sandwich, it felt like they rushed to put it together. For almost a $20 sandwich, I’d expected better quality. The sandwich barely had any cheese or greens, making it feel lackluster and thrown together. You can see the pictures for yourself—it’s clear it didn’t match the usual standard. While I appreciate that it was a busy day, the experience was really frustrating, and I expected more for the price. Hopefully, this was just a one-time mishap, but today was a letdown.

The Farm at South Mountain is a working farm that also acts as an events venue for major activities or events such as weddings, anniversaries, company parties, camp meetings, and such.
Located next to South Mountain, the farm is idyllic and calming. The scenes of the farm offer nice respite from the bustling activity of the sprawling city that is nearby.
There are live plants and produce being grown. There are various types of fowl located on the premises as well. The staff is cordial and inviting when events are being thrown.
Even if you don't have an event to go to, there is also an eating establishment located on the grounds in case you wish to enjoy a pleasant picnic lunch.
So, if you are in the Phoenix area and want a taste of nature and a nice experience of what rural life is like, kick your feet up and enjoy a stay.
Be aware, though, that the sun can be a bit brutal during noon hours. Please bring plenty of protection from the sun.

You can't go wrong with breakfast, lunch, or dinner at The Farm at South Mountain. Make reservations for breakfast at Morning Glory or dinner at Quiessence, but for lunch at the Farm Kitchen, just walk up and order. Enjoy lunch at a table in the shaded patio or venture out across the Farm and picnic in the grass.

The Farm Kitchen offers grab and go items like salads, a fruit bowl, potato salad, and lots of pastries, cobblers, brownies, etc. Their made to order sandwiches are all delicious! They have hot and cold options. My sister and I chose the brisket Bahn Mi french dip and, while good, it was maybe too warm of a day for a hot sandwich. We all snuck bites of my mom's choice of the old fashioned turkey with cranberry relish and mayo. It was delicious! The sandwiches went down well with their signature cocktails as well.

After lunch we strolled through the Farm and down to their little shop. I picked up some cute earrings, salsa, and a lovely bouquet of dried lavender while the kids each picked a cute chicken toy. Then we ended by visiting the chickens and turkey and checking out the veggies growing in the garden.

I've seen weddings held at a variety of spots on site. There are so many beautiful lush photo ops. Before they close for the summer heat, be sure to have a relaxing day on the Farm.

The Farm is a lovely oasis where you can grab breakfast, brunch, lunch, and a fancy dinner. I’ve enjoyed Brunch there and the food is fresh and pretty good. For brunch, I tried the a la carte menu of eggs, turkey sausage, and toast. This was delicious although it lacked some salt. I also tried the veggie tacos, which were also good but really needed salt to heighten the fresh veggies, homemade tortillas, and scrambled eggs. The breakfast potatoes were spiced well and were delicious. I’ve also tried their old fashioned turkey sandwich, which was not good. Salt was missing in all of the dishes I tried, but the ambience and beauty of the entire location was phenomenal!

To mi The Farm is an eclectic area to wander thru their gardens. There is a choice of different restaurants depending upon what time of day you are there. You can book gatherings & celebrations... This farm has a friendly family atmosphere. The owner is a giving & considerate person. She out stretches her hand and creates that atmosphere of ease and good life for all. Here are some pictures of one area in her gardens and a few pictures of The Dancin' Chef out front at the entrance.
