First time visiting The Better Man Distilling Company today for a date night and it was stellar. We went on the tour through the facility and Mike was a fantastic guide. The overall atmosphere was trendy, relaxed and elegant. The gin cocktails were so delicious and I’d definitely recommend their wings as an appetizer. Can’t wait to go back and try out more drinks on their menu!

Atmosphere outside was chill and quaint with the little mechanical fireplaces. Waitstaff seems quite novice and inexperienced. Our server literally left the food on a corner of the bench next to the fireplace and didn't say a word to us.... that was pretty strange.... We asked for a little table to hold the food, and the waiter reluctantly got one for us....again... a bit strange... The food isn't great. Very basic and has a "thrown- together-quickly look, taste, and feeling." The whisky is excellent, with good depth of flavor and subtle profiles. The staff serving the whisky were more upbeat and friendly than the food servers...not sure why there was such a disconnect of good service. Overall, this is a good spot for a few drinks, but the food has a long way to go. Not a single food offering was impressive. Service could have been a bit more prompt. Both times we've visited, it took nearly 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. I'm hoping they can enhance the service.

Hosted our event at the Better Man Distillery last Saturday. Overall I give the venue 4/5 stars. Planning & booking was very easy , event coordinator Allie was great with communicating the details and following-up.

We booked the indoor space for a 3 hour window. Prices were fair and on-par with other locations. They offer various packages for food / drinks with good selections. Our guests enjoyed the food especially the sliced steak !

Drinks are what make this place worth visiting. Very very good liquor and mixed drinks. They offered us one specialty cocktail for our party - “The Bees Knees” our guests couldn’t get enough of.

Venue was spacious and home-y for 35 guests. Decor and vibe are definitely there. Clean and stocked with the essentials needed for a party.

Only complaints were they didn’t post any signage of a private event. We had customers enter our party and be notified there was an event going on. I understand as they still wanted to seat people outdoors, but they should have a better method of doing this. Awkward for guests entering and party attendees.

Also just as our party started they were conducting tours / tastings. If you’re booked for a party event 1-4pm, they shouldn’t be conducting tours until after. Conflicting just looks unprofessional.

Overall it’s a good place and our guests had a great time. They can improve in certain areas and once they do it will deserve a full 5 stars. Thanks again -Bryan (event customer)

Hidden gem for sure! Mike was our tour guide and he did an amazing job! The drinks were amazing, so complex and flavorful! We had dinner reservations so we didn't stay but all the food options sounded yummy and looked delicious. We absolutely cannot wait to come back!! Cheers 🥂

Awesome bartenders and atmosphere, the cocktails are strong and delicious, check out their menu and try at least one if you go. They also have delicious food items that you can order to munch on with your drink, goat cheese dip with pita was one I tried, very good.

Amazing place. Nick gave us a tour of the distillery. We had a night when a food truck was outside making the most delicious tacos I have ever had. The rye and vodka are freshly made on premise. The drinks were great and the staff was even better. They had a musician playing as well. Overall great place to chill! I will be back , it's a definite #Snobspot!

Another great night here on St Patty's Day. We had the Habitat for Humanity card Discount. Elysian and Tonic and the Hibiscus Mule. Delicious drinks. The place is so chill and great.

FAVORITE cocktail bar on Long Island, hands down. These guys know how to make some really creative, delicious drinks. The atmosphere here is always chill and welcoming, we have been here a ton of times with family and friends and love it every time. The menu design and drink names are also super inventive - they change all the time! Can't wait to go again soon.

Update: I have been back a few times, and this place is growing on me. The staff is great, the vibe is cool, oh yeah - they have really good drinks too.

The events, memberships and such are just a cherry on top.
