We stumbled on this amazing family farm restaurant tucked away on our way to Art OMI. The owners were so nice. Freshest ingredients for the salad from their garden and the yummiest double chocolate zucchini bread. All set in a lovely backyard by a babbling creek with choice of seating either on the deck or near the creek. There are chickens and goats too! What a great idea!!

I loved my visit to Ten Barn Farm. I had a delicious eggplant caponata toast add eggs and we got 2 slices of cake to share for the table. The chocolate beet cake I'm still dreaming of. We ate outside on a beautiful deck covered by a canvas awning. Surrounded by the green of the trees and lawn and stunning flower boxes lining the railings. The whole experience was lovely.

Ten Barn Farm is a family farm known for its gourmet brunches in a peaceful pastoral setting on spring, summer, and fall weekends. But in the past few years it has broadened its offerings to include, among other cultural events, wine tastings, lectures, story telling, and musical performances. On the evening of August 23, 2024, Roby, Julie, and their two adult children, Peter and Matthew, brought up a group of opera singers from Manhattan. The troupe included an impresario-magician-singer (!), two beautiful tenors, and a gorgeously-voiced soprano. Accompanied by a gifted pianist, they sang both arias and popular Broadway songs. Inside one of the 200+ year-old barns at the farm, they presented one of the most lively, entertaining, and memorable concerts we can remember. And we are transplanted New Yorkers! Ten Barn Farm enhances the gourmet eateries and the enormously rich cultural diversity found in Columbia County.

Y’all please don’t mess this up. This is the dreamiest, most lovely spot for breakfast. The fam stumbled on this hidden gem on the way to another one of our favorite secret spots (Dan’s Diner) but so glad we landed here. Family run farm, the freshest ingredients (the hens are running around while you eat!), and the friendliest people. I feel bad writing this because they’re going to get overrun and have an hour wait for a table but honestly it’s worth it for this sweet family to get the notoriety they do deserve.

Shhh! Don’t share! Secret nook off the beaten path for home cooked breakfast in a cozy setting that overlooks a babbling creek. Family is simply wonderful. Take in the bucolic setting and ask for some veggie scraps to feed the goats on the way out.
