I tried this joint for the first time today; boy am I glad I did! It's impossible to get "good" BBQ in this area, but it looks like this place has changed that. I had the burnt ends... they were perfect. They had a very nice crisp to them, and were subtly sweet. It's also difficult to get good coffee around here; their coffee is very good. The best part was the cheery service from the staff member that gave me my order. She was very pleasant and welcoming, and had me check my coffee before I left the window to make sure it was made to my liking. So hard to find good customer service these days, but this place has nailed it. Heading back over there now for my second lunch lol.

I think Sweet Meats is exactly the kind of place Cairo needed. Their extensive hours and days open give everyone a chance to get quality food anytime of the day. They are a family run business, and it shows. Always greeted with a smile and great customer service. You seriously can't beat the prices for the quality and amount you get. I love the chicken sandwiches, burnt ends, and make your own sub (Boars head ingredients). The sandwiches are always super filling and affordable. Keep an eye out for daily specials! Since the last time Iāve been there they also added on an ice cream area, now you can have your dessert too. Donāt miss out thinking this place is just a gas station - go inside get great food at great prices and leave feeling like you made new friends.

It's looking like this place got a bit of a rough start by the reviews. A couple weeks ago, I decided to stop in and get myself a breakfast sandwich. To my surprise they had a little warmer that had a bunch of pre made sandwiched, and I was delighted to see it, I thought I was going to be late to work if it took to long to make it. I grabbed a bacon egg and cheese, and I was happy I did.
The bacon was thick, meaty and smokey. The cheese was gooey and warm, and the eggs were light and fluffy. All on a nice soft roll. Normally when you get one of these are other places you end up with thin bacon that is tasty (I mean its bacon) but the quality of the bacon on this sandwich was fantastic.
My only complaint is that the already made sandwiches don't have the rolls toasted on the griddle. I know though, if I ordered the sandwich to have that, they would do it. I just need to leave a little earlier in the morning to have the time for that. š
This is now my Friday morning stop every week to grab a morning sando.

I came here for lunch once about a month ago and I go almost daily. I absolutely adore the staff and love the food. Their paninis are perfection. I'm not one to get a burger from a restaurant, there's almost always something not quite right, but the burgers here I'll take any day.

Iām going to start by saying I never leave reviews because I work in the restaurant industry and I donāt think reviews get us anywhere, but Iām pressured into reviewing this place because itās apparent the people involved in this place have their heart in the right place, but they have zero experience and that can be detrimental to many people just looking for a quick bite. The first time I went in I was excited to have a quick service place back in the area. The woman behind the counter sold me on their daily special āsausage and peppersā. When she rang it in I saw it come up as a Philly cheese steak and I thought it might just be their āspecial buttonā and it was likely the same price. I thought nothing of it and proceeded to drive home with my lunch. When I got it open I realized they did in fact give me the steak sandwich. Fine. It wasnāt what I ordered, or rather was suggested to order, but it would do. It was fine. Itās a problem for me because if somebody had ordered something they asked for and received something they could have been potentially allergic to and didnāt realize they were eating it that could have been an incredible liability. The second time I stopped in I asked for a tuna salad sandwich, they informed me that they didnāt have tuna, but they had a chicken salad made in the back. I reluctantly obliged. They proceeded to make my sandwich and when they pulled it out they had a dated sticker on it showing that it was made two weeks prior. I also noticed the veggies were cut by hand, poorly (they have several beautiful deli slicers) the onions and tomatoes were 2 inches thick on one side and paper thin on the other. The iceberg lettuce was just an entire end lobbed off. This says to me their slicers are specifically for show, and they clearly donāt want to be cleaning them daily. Based on my prior experience with the place I decided to just cut my loss, and instead of embarrassing them and ordering something else, I decided to pay for my meal and throw it away when I got home. I hope they can find some help from someone experienced because the space has the potential, but itās clear to me the owners do not have the experience to be running such a venture alone. Proceed with caution.

Ordered chicken, onion rings and brisket chili. Missed my wife's call because of volume. Called her back immediately. Food done fast. Absolutely delicious. Wicked impressed. Employees so helpful and friendly. Lived in area for 2 decades from Boston. Taste of home without the bad attitude. My wife was loved it as well. Best local food hands down. I nevah evah take time to share my experience. This time was different. Everything I look for in a food establishment...I received. Take it from a semi local...you have to give this place a shot. Foodwas delicious. Staff was the best. Smiles they give goes a long way!! I'm locked in as for the frequent customer. The best!!

The kid behind the counter had zero personality and didnāt have any idea how to pronounce much of anything on the menu let alone what it actually was. The $10.00 brisket sandwich was pretty thin, it was nothing more than meat and a roll and some genius cut it with the grain instead of against which made eating it a stringy mess and the 2 and change fountain soda was the icing on the cake. Save your money!
