Leslie and Mike were wonderful hosts, also met the wine maker on the way in, sadly didn't catch his name but but overall the people and the wine were all AMAZING! Picked up a bottle of the viognier since that one was a surprise and hadnt had a white that hit like a red before and can't wait to pop that enjoy it with family.

We needed to break up a pretty dense day of tasting. We found The Steinbeck Winery estate jeep tour on trip advisor. They kindly accommodated us on relatively short notice. They do want a reservation made 24 hours in advance.

Patty Steinbeck met us at the tasting counter. The main tasting room holds a intimate collection of artifacts and family photographs. Patty showed us the seven generations of her family who have built this vineyard and worked this this land for so many years. Many of them served in the Armed Forces and these experiences were proudly represented. We appreciate their service! After sampling of these delicious wines, we went on our tour. We hopped into a vintage 1958 Jeep Willy with Patty at the wheel.

We meandered through the estate at a very leisurely pace. Plan about an hour for the tour. Don't forget to save time for tasting. She stopped frequently along the way to point out today different highlights and vines, letting us taste several varieties. We saw some of the production facilities and even her family homes. The fields and the views were incredible! You really felt like you were visiting family and sharing a window into their lives.

Let's not forget the wines! There are some wonderful bottles included in the tastings. Interestingly, they only bottle 5% of their production. I was surprised that some local "big players" (J Lohr and Justin) use most of this wonderful fruit.

We highly recommend this great tour.

Thanks Patty!

They really do amazing things. Try the merlot or petite syrah - you wont find something similar. The place is very pleasant and relaxed. Amazing enough there are 40+ years cabernet sauvignon grapes. Thx for a real wine tasting experience.

My gf and I drove up to Steinbeck Vineyard and Winery to celebrate our two year anniversary a couple weeks ago. Took the Jeep tour with one of the family members and it was amazing! So interesting to learn about the history and culture behind the winery itself. I was even able to surprise my gf and proposed to her! The Steinbeck family were so kind and wonderful. They helped me set this all up and made it a perfect evening for us. Their wines are very tasteful (we lovedthe Zinfandel) and staff are open to answer any of our questions. Definitely would come back here!

Stopped by here on a day of wine tasting and felt like the jeep tour of the estate was a true highlight of 2 days we spent in Paso Robles. Cindy Steinbeck is as personable and welcoming of a person as you'll meet. Her intimate knowledge of the operations of the vineyard coupled with stories of life growing up and living there really made for a rewarding time. The wines were tasty and we'll gladly return next time through Paso Robles. If you take the jeep tour with Cindy, be sure to ask her about how the grafting of the vines to the established root stock enriches her faith walk. It did for us, too. We purchased a couple bottles of wine including "The Crash" and were very happy we did.

I visited the Steinbeck tasting room on a Monday afternoon and had a fabulous time. The space is a smartly remodeled building that was originally the blacksmith shop. There are many photos, memorabilia, and artifacts that tell the story and history of the land, the family, the grapes, and the winery. Our tasting director, Dennis, guided us through a fabulous selection of wine and was also able to answer any question with regards to the wine, the region, and the history. We'll be back🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
