Had the best time at Sparrow & already planning my next visit. First impression - the vibes are immaculate 🤩 everything from decor to staff was great from beginning to end. Our waiter was so kind and patient and the food was delicious! We shared just about everything because the portions were a great size.

We came on a Thursday night & to our surprise they had a live DJ! Fun way to end the night 🥳

Highly recommend coming here!

Delicious popovers, halibut, risotto, and a really outstanding salad with shaved vegetables. Carrots with the fish were a little too al dente. The gnocchi dish is also fantastic.

Great atmosphere. The servers and the staff are extremely helpful and very kind. I really want this place to do well but the food is not good. They look nice and great for pictures, but they do not taste great. I am pretty sure they did not go through any R&D for the dishes because just a few tweaks would make them better. The sauce for the artichoke chips were stuck in the scalloped dish crevices, and the chips got soggy by the sauce. The chickpea pizzete was unbelievably dry. The gnocchi was extremely watery, like they did not drain the pasta water out. Cheesecake was too burnt. The banna pudding was not special. They had just opened for 2 weeks, maybe after 6 months they will improve after the growing pains. I am still optimistic, and hopefully, they will make some improvements.

Food and drink were pretty good. Pasta seemed homemade. Atmosphere was nice. Service was good too but I needed to get up a few times to ask the waiter for salt as well as the check. More attentiveness would have earned five stars here. Good place. Would go back.

It is such an disappointment when the look and service doesn’t meet the food. The place itself is stunning. Very elegant and boho mix. The service is excellent. You could expect same in very expensive restaurant in the city. However, the food left bad taste.
We ordered oysters - came fresh and yummy.
Burrata - came with spiced dates. Those 4 dates on such a small burrata (simply piece of burrata) were definitely too many. It overwhelmed flavor of the cheese.
For main course we got pasta, halibut, burger and kale salad. I added shrimp to the salad and I can’t understand how it could be prepared without any seasoning. Even salt. The shrimp were simply tasteless. The salad swimming in sherry dressing, it was difficult to eat after few bites. There were maybe 3 candied walnuts for entire salad.
Burger - very proper, nothing special. Fries also came without salt on it.
The halibut juicy but pretty bald. It was served on bed of beans. Again - no salt. I hear only good things about Liguini nero pasta, but didn’t try it myself.
The dessert was okay. Banana pudding came with whipped cream which added to the sweetness and it kind of ruin it. Sorbet was good, and olive oil cake was interesting.
I am not going back - definitely. Great experience but if as much care was directed to the service was directed to the meals it would be worth the visit. Unfortunately that’s not the case.

I had an amazing dining experience at Sparrow Kitchen in Garden City, thanks to the outstanding service from Ellie and Jean Carlo. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to make the evening exceptional.

Ellie was a fantastic server—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. She made great recommendations and ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal. Jean Carlo, the maître d’, added an extra touch of hospitality, making sure we felt welcome and taken care of. His professionalism and attention to detail truly elevated the experience.

The food was incredible, the ambiance was inviting, and the service was top-notch. If you’re looking for an excellent dining spot with impeccable service, Sparrow Kitchen is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Every so often a restaurant opens and wows all of your senses. Sparrow checks all the boxes. The decor is stunning and carefully curated to make you feel like you are dining in the Mediterranean while simultaneously warm and inviting enough to make you feel like you are at a friend’s. Each course is better than the last. We had a hard time picking our favorite dish although the unexpected star of the show was hands down the banana pudding. The ricotta gnocchi was a close second and the popovers were gone the minute they hit the table. The service is spectacular. We have already made plans to return. Run do not walk to Sparrow.

An amazing restaurant! Great food with reasonable prices. My waitress Ellie was extremely attentive and kind and I had a great time! I can’t name one complaint! I would recommend to everyone. Also the owner Luke was extremely kind and gave us our first drinks free because we were seated only a few minutes late from our reservation. The service was great!! I will definitely be back and cannot recommend this restaurant enough . Food and drinks were DELICIOUS !
