Can a sandwich be like a unicorn? Well, if so, the magic happens at Smartwich. It's the most delicious "sandwich" spot around. I've eaten the Crudo (vegan) Smartwich a number of times and it just gets better. Chef Michael is sweet and has great energy and is very passionate about his food.

It’s always such a pleasure to meet an owner who is so dedicated to their craft. The obsession with crafting each sandwich perfectly is present in the quality of the product and selection of ingredients. The homemade bread just puts everything over the top. I frequently come back for the sardine sandwich as finding any dish sandwich that isn’t fried or canned tuna is exceptionally rare. Visit if you have the chance. All his creations are top notch.

I’m obsessed with these sandwiches. My favorite is the crumbled sausage. Tried the daily special with salmon, capers, Dijon, dried pepperoni, artichokes atop their delicious Portuguese bread loaf. Unreal! Like sushi, mixed with French country side, mixed with your Grandma’s freshly baked bread. Chef Michael is in tune and willing to adjust any sandwich for you. Love this shop!

Soooo good!! The chef really puts effort into quality!! An explosion of flavors, everything tastes extremely fresh and super creative. One of the best sandwich shops I have ever been to. How lucky that it is right smack dab in the middle of Long Island!

Chef Michael was very kind and friendly, also made an amazing sandwich. Been back a few times and each sandwich is different and unique. All of them are different but delectable.

Currently working my way through the menu. Mozzarella was my first and still the one that hooked me in and won’t let me go.

The roast beef smartwich with hand-made Portuguese bread is a must try! From the moment that I sunk my teeth into the first bite, I knew this was more than any typical “sandwich”. If you’re looking for a delicious and healthy option, you’ve got to eat here. Incredible sandwiches and an even more incredible owner! The chef is super kind and goes the extra mile to make your experience special. The flavor combinations are spot on, and I've never been a daily sandwich person--until now. Located inside Francesco's Bakery which is very prettily remodeled by the way, this place is another great find. Don't miss the pulled pork or turkey! Can't wait to return.

I have become a regular here and I cannot believe I did not find this place sooner! The food is made with the freshest ingredients and the best combination of flavors! This is the only food I truly crave in this town and his specials are fantastic. To top it all off the owner is super warm and friendly and provides great service. I come here with my boyfriend and my friend and they love it as well 🙂
