Purchased a cooks ham on Saturday 21, went to cook it today for Christmas and it's not good. The insides has a fatty substance coming out in the middle of the ham. The texture is not like that of a ham. I always buy Cook brand ham. This is so disappointing as I have to discard the ham. Hope I can get my monies back.

I've had a mixed experience with Monroe Shoprite. I'm glad they started doing delivery but have had issues with the Seafood Department. Sometimes you will get descaled salmon and sometimes you won't and sometimes you will get a partially descaled salmon. When you order a Salmon Filet that has no description of what to expect the normal consumer would expect it to be descaled like most other grocery stores have that a Seafood Department. I was told that they have no control over that and the shipments sometimes come descaled and sometimes don't but that their Seafood Department does not do that in house.

11/16/24 Update: Emma from management has reached out to me to try to resolve the issue by stating to re-add the note that my preference is descaled salmon so they can try to accommodate and to call Monroe Shoprite and ask for her directly if any future issues. I find this resolution satisfactory and updated the review.

03/18/25 Update I occasionally get the unscaled salmon here and there but I realize it's too harsh to expect perfect quality meats and produce in the economy we are in. They do their best and I am still a repeat customer because their delivery and pickup availability is great.

Why does this place refuse to serve customers who are waiting at the deli counter and direct us to the kiosk? Then when I went to the precut cooler and bought cheese, I couldn’t pull the slices apart. It was one big brick. $7 for a pile of garbage. These deli employees should be embarrassed. A simple piece of plastic between layers is an easy solution, but I guess if they’re too lazy to serve customers standing in front of them, it’s definitely too much to ask to put a piece of plastic so the order isn’t mess. I’ll go to the Italian deli next door, thanks.

Great food in store, but good luck trying to get delivery! What a headache!!! Their website doesn't work, their password recovery process doesn't work, and I'm getting too old to let BS like this ruin my day. I'm going elsewhere to shop online.
