I have so many great things to say about this place, from the people to the food.

Food: We were politely provided some chips (fries) and curry from the owner (which I did not know at the time). Both the fries and the curry were exceptionally flavorful and made me rethink about English cuisine (kidding). My wife bought a gin and tonic with a great citrus gin and Mediterranean tonic which went down smooth and was actually tasteful even to myself as a non-drinker.

Service: Nicky who helped us with the drink inside was so kind and patient and gave my wife recommendations which is how she ended up with her great G&T. The owner, Bradley, was not only an amazing gentleman but super funny and kind. This is the type of place you go to because it makes you feel warm and at home.

Aesthetic: English goods line the back wall and artifacts from England line all the other walls, feeling like you are in a pub somewhere in southern England. Such a cool feel.

By far one of our favorite places on our trip to the area. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys a great atmosphere and an absolutely fantastic beer! My better half doesn’t typically enjoy a pint, but she absolutely loved their Brown Ale. I was a big fan of their Colonial. Had to take some home for the both of us. Thanks for everything!

Super cool pub on the wine trail. Looks like you’re going into someone’s house and you enter into a British pub. Love the imported European goods and the theme of this bar. They’ll were having a Guy Fox celebration and it seemed like it was going to be super cool, but sadly we had to leave. Will definitely be back.

A home that’s been magically transformed into an authentic English pub, serving proper English cask ales. All delicious, especially the English Bitter & Old Cranleigh! If you’re not familiar with cask ales, they’re not carbonated & served at 55° instead of the standard 37° you’ll find at your typical brewery. Authentic, proper English food as well; their minted lamb cottage pie’s amazing!!

Not your typical brewery, highly recommend stopping by!

(oh and for dog parents out there — they’re dog friendly too!)

Such high expectations cos this was a recommendation by extremely experienced beer-friend The Cask Whisperer. Absolute disaster. No food despite their website & sandwich board stating to the contrary. We would not have come at this time if their information was up to date. British owner/staffer declined to engage with us. All the British snacks they had were inedible (hello cheese & onion walkers 🤮). All the beers tasted the same and were clearly infected. I’m frankly embarrassed that people in upstate NY think of this as a British pub experience.

Terrible on multiple levels - beer, customer service, and the taproom condition.

The beer is clearly contaminated, with a hefe, neipa, and golden all tasting sour, so infected. It's completely unacceptable.

For the record, I'm British living in the US, and I am very familiar with Cask, a member of CAMRA, and regular attendee at cask festivals. This is a poor representation of cask beer, and no matter what serving style, whether keg or cask, this is just bad beer.

As for customer service, we walked in and said 'hey how are you?' and the British guy grunted and put his head down. Then were told that they had closed the kitchen, more than 30 min before closing, despite their website saying that the kitchen was open until 7pm, and there was a sign outside saying that the kitchen was open.

The taproom itself is dark and smelly, and it looks nothing like a decent pub from my home country.

All in all, this is a pathetic excuse for a brewery and, frankly, should be shut down for its dodgy infected beer.

[Edit - The owner has subsequently left a response on my wife's review calling her "abrasive" which is a complete lie, and frankly sexist and racist to say to a woman of colour who made a friendly 'hello how are you' on entering the brewery. I guess he thinks that woman should not speak]

It's not a wardrobe door you step through but walking through transports you to a pub in Great Britain. Having visited GB recently, it's amazing to have an establishment like this to visit on this side of The Pond. The Flight Of Pies (savory) is a masterpiece as are the beers. Friendly, knowledgeable staff make this a must-stop! 20/10!

We visited here after many people told us to check it out. We had a very fun experience. The bar tender was knowledgeable and friendly, the atmosphere was consistent and fun and the product was great. It feels like you walked into a British pub and the ales are all cask ales which no one else around here makes. For a truly different experience and alot of fun swing by and have a pint or 5.
