Nice family event. Activities for the kids, pony rides, farm animals. I thought prices were high on pecans and other pecan food items. But I don't normally buy pecans so what do I know? Lots of other booths, food and music.

I went to the pecan festival and ran in the fun/nut run with my family. Fun and free activities for kids include bounce house, pony ride, and petting zoo. The Green Valley Pecan store charges premium prices for their organic products.

It was an amazing experience, except for the dust and flies, but I think that the good outweighs the bad. Just don't be surprised if you end up with a few flies in your car when you leave.

This is the 10th year of the Sahuarita Pecan Festival, but the first time I have attended. It was so much fun and had a large variety of vendors. Definitely will attend next year!

One day a year in November the Sahuarita pecan farm holds a festival that is free ($5 for patking) and a great day out for the family. Get there early for thinner crowds and hit the pecan shop FIRST to avoid waiting to check out when you're ready to leave.
