We stopped in to try the new bandits lager, very enjoyable, great atmosphere and fun place to go for a drink.

Great setting with tasty beer choices. The indoor space is perfect for a party atmosphere or meander to the covered and open spaces out back. We visited during the 2024 eclipse and despite being packed service was good. The clearly marked place to order at the bar is a simple common-sense step that every bar should take. There are flat-screen TVs everywhere and I could imagine enjoying a televised sporting event here. The interesting features in the open-air areas add visual stimulation to the park-like setting, like a back yard done by a TV home renovation show. The nacho orders are gigantic, like a cafeteria tray barely supporting an eight-inch mound of chips and toppings. Oddly for a "Brewing Co.," the "Our Beers" part of their web site goes to a food menu. I enjoyed the Ms. Brown's Porter and the unique Vanilla Chai Tea Milk Stout. Thankfully they seem to offer a few darker beers year-round. Adding to the local flavor (literally) is their array of local and regional spirits, which will be sampled next time I visit. I live hours away, but if I lived in the area, I could see this place becoming a go-to local hangout. Definitely worth checking out. Slainte!

Rustic and relaxing. Great music in the background. Nice outdoor space. Decent selection of beers / ciders. Mixed drink options. Friendly staff.

Food was basic, but hit the spot. The cinnamon, caramel pretzel was a nice combination (desert). Worthy if a stop!

Some of the table (old spools) are too tall for the chairs being used.
Was a little awkward to me. But that's being picky. Would give a 4.5 if an option...

Update 061922:. We return to Rusty Nickel to celebrate Father's Day. You were the first ones to arrive and we're a little disappointed to see some of the brews we had planned to try being out and/or a keg could not be found. It seemed like they were short staffed initially. The grounds still remain pleasant and relaxing. Wasn't too busy. Plenty of outdoor seating on the patio. The food this time was fair, some menu items were not available and some were removed since our last visit. May have just been an off day. Will give it a try another day. Would downgrade to three stars this trip.

We had a great time at Rusty Nickel Brewing and enjoyed our stay as part of the Harvest Host program. The staff was friendly and helpful. The back patio is beautiful! Both our food and beers were tasty!

Really late in getting around to this review:

Came here on a whim and accidentally showed up on their anniversary party. The location is great and the outdoor section in the back is beautiful. The staff was super friendly and took time to talk to everyone at the bar despite how busy it was. The beer was decent but I only tried a few so I'll need to go back again because they have a pretty healthy selection of beers to try.

Loved this place such good beers. Amazing outdoor seating area. The inside of the building could be cooler it was so hot in there and waiting in line for a while feeling that uncomfortable was not so great but other than that was a great atmosphere

We came in town for the night and had the best time here! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly, and they have a great selection of drinks! If we come back to the area, we will be sure to make a stop here!

My wife and I love this place, whether we come here with our kids or by ourselves we always have a great time. Their beer selection is tremendous, very unique brewing styles with great flavors and variety. The outdoor patio area is 2nd to none, very cozy atmosphere that feels like somebody's beautiful back yard right up against an escarpment.
