Not quite what I was expecting, this meadery (a word I didn’t know existed) is rather humble in appearance. Once we started tasting the meads we were very happy we’d taken the time to visit.

My wife and I did the full flight of all the company’s meads, and the quality of the wine was really outstanding. I’m used to being unimpressed with commercial meads, but literally every one of these meads were good to great.

The gent who served us was very knowledgeable (I am not sure, but I believe he was the owner, so not surprise he knows his stuff). We opted to pay a little extra to try the Reserve wines (peach and raspberry) and they definitely stole the show. The moment I tried the peach reserve I was in love. Since we are visiting from out of town, and have limited luggage space, and we could only buy one bottle. The Reserve is a bit more expensive ($55) but we’ll worth the $. And this meadery is well worth a visit if you like mead, or if you like wine and would like to try something a little different.

Hi!

Like trying mead as a Canadian. The cinnamon and vanilla bean is a little harsh. I'd try boiling the cheap cinnamon sticks before putting them in the mead. The bark is quite harsh on the finish and I think it would soften it.

Exceptional selection of meads and free tasting flights to boot! Spencer did a great job walking me through Redstone's wide variety of meads. My favorites were the black currant, tequila barrel aged, and cinnamon vanilla bean meads. All were excellent. Then to finish, I sampled the amazing 2007 Reserve mead that was silky smooth like a wonderful Sherry and, as Spencer described, "like coating your mouth in velvet". It was extraordinary! Very, very well done Redstone. I'll be back!

This is best mead I've ever had. I am super happy to have found out about it. This is outstanding. 6 stars if I could.

Chill spot. Amazing mead. I did the flight sampler for only $5 for 13 different meads! You can get 3 complimentary tastes, if you just want to try a few. I then got a glass of my favorite...black raspberry! I also bought a growler to take back to Sioux Falls. Thanks guys!

I stopped by because I was in the neighborhood and I have previously enjoyed a few of their nectars elsewhere. I didn't catch his name, but the employee that helped me was very friendly and accommodating. He walked me through tastes of all the meads and honey wines. I really enjoyed everything. Generally I stay away from sweeter offerings, but here I even enjoyed the sweeter options. I ended up buying with some togo bottles, more than I should have because of such a great experience and how much I enjoyed everything. Great job.

Didn’t care too much for the nectars or mead, though I’m finding that honey wine might not be my thing; tasted too similar to beer for me, and I’m no beer nut.

But their reserves were absolutely phenomenal!!! I was shocked at just how wonderful the peach one was; it was incredibly smooth and delightfully sweet! It saddens me that I couldn’t afford a bottle, but next time I’m in Colorado getting some will be at the top of my to-do list!
