Vegan approved!! I love love love this rice blend! It has a unique combination of aromatic purple rice, long-grain brown rice, and red rice. It cooks perfectly in my rice cooker. It is beautiful and delicious!! This rice has a rich, nutty flavor. My stuffed peppers turned out great! ?

Saw a documentary about the various kinds of rice available and became aware of dark rice. The Ralston Purple Rice is the best rice I have ever tasted. I sneak it into many dishes for my family to provide them with more nutrient.

This is truly a family farm with all of the customer service that goes with it. I called to ask for advice on how to cook the Nature's Blend rice without a rice cooker, instant pot, etc. The daughter answered and assured me that her mother would return my call shortly. Indeed, she did and she helped me with a recipe for rice salad for a dinner party I was hosting the next day. Who does that?! 🙂 Love their Nature's blend and purple rice especially. Thank you!

I used to eat white rice which can be a contibutor to weigh gain and diabetic. I substitute white rice with brown rice. I am so glad to find the Ralston brown rice. The rice is grown in the US, which I believe is safer to consume than those imported. The rice tastes good and it is well packed, convenient and easy to store.

Thought I'd try a new rice brand while traveling. Found this is big lots. I did not have my trusty rice cooker, so thought to do it the old fashion in a pot method. followed directions as always, but this took 4 times as long as directions that said; "30 minutes" which turned into nearly two hours before "done". Then, of course, it was overdone and hard at the same time. I tasted along the way, bcuz I was hungry for dinner. [I ate my other dishes separately while waiting and watching]. At no time did it test done like I expected from brown rice. Disappointed, I am writing this, and since it was as big lots a discount buy out store of discontinued items... maybe this is why. I won't try again!

I REALLY LIKED THE IDEA AND THE RICE...BUT I NEVER GOT TO EAT IT.

That's because it had like hundreds of tiny moths in it...I mean hundreds...as soon as I opened it tons flew out and were dead in the bottom..like whole package of purple rice was tiny moths....

I have been using Ralston Family Farms for a while now. Absolutely the best rice that I've ever tasted! Basmati, jasmine, Nature's Blend....I love all of them!!
I recently tried their rice grits for the first time. (Side note:I don't actually like grits.) I decided to use their recipe "Cheesy Rice Grits" for my initial test. UNBELIEVABLY delicious!! I cooked enough to share with friends who loved them too! I am officially a rice Grits lover?
