Popped in before an afternoon ski, just looking for a good lunch, and we discovered what is perhaps the best Jamaican food in colorado. We are from Denver and have tried a couple spots around town, and they do not compare to this. The jerk chicken is richly spiced with the perfect lingering heat you expect, and the chicken stew was just phenomenal—so warm and comforting. We also tried the rum punch—very good.

Vibes are positive and welcoming. Staff are super nice.

We cannot wait to come back. This is our new favorite spot on the mountain. Did I mention the prices are great?

Down to earth, DELICIOUS food in a no frills, relaxed atmosphere. If you’re looking for rest and comfort food after being on the mountain, look no further. The chicken stew was tender, hearty and tasty. The steamed veggies were perfect. I could have filled up on those alone. Incredible service, too. Vegan option of coconut curry chickpeas was really yummy, too.

10/10 ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. We walked in for dinner after a day on the slopes and were so delighted by the food. The jerk chicken is SO good. Tender and incredibly flavorful. Sides were equally delicious. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I will 100% be back to taste every item on the menu.

The food at Plantain Tree is insanely delicious! We devoured our meals like wild animals and mouths are still watering… The jerk chicken plantain sandwich was my absolute favorite, but the beef patty pastry, the coconut curry, fried dough, and plantain chips were all incredible. So much flavor in every bite and the seasonings were just perfect. New favorite spot in Crested Butte and will definitely be coming back as regulars! Too good!

The food from Plantain Tree is hands down my favorite in the valley! I’ll show up wherever they are, it’s delicious. And Jackson and Lafara are also the NICEST humans ever and supporting them is the best!
