Yams was hard cut too big gross , they had pineapples in them the Mac and cheese was mushy over cooked tasted like eggs and processed cheese . They had no Tatar sauce for the fish only thing that was good was the fish. Mind you we paid 65 and some change for food that we didn’t eat at all I didn’t even eat the fish 🥱WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL ❗️❗️ AND I NORMALLY EAT HEAR ALL THE TIME HAVENT HAD IT IN A WHILE BUT WONT BE COMING BACK

Went there on my lunch break excited for some soul food my friend said their food is usually done to pick the items out you want food wasn’t done told me 15-20 minutes turned out to be almost 40 minutes and when I finally got back to work to eat my chicken was not done it was bleeding still completely lost my appetite i wont be going there again and will be calling for a refund

They have terrible service.. the haddock was nasty and not fried right. This picture is catfish that looks like fried chicken or something. Which was nasty.
I had to wait almost 2 hrs just to be disappointed and to waste my money. The good thing was the sides I ordered which came up to a total of $30 and I thought I was getting greens which was cold and a mix of cabbage not what I expected. They need to be more organized and hire a new cook

The absolute worst customer service you can' recieve from a business! The wait times are ridiculous. They are black owned so you want to continue supporting them. I ordered food last sat. And some kid's answered the phone playing with one another, they could barely take my order and constantly placed me on hold because they were playing. I called this evening to place an order and the young man was taking my order was so rude and hung up on me as I paused for a moment to think about what I wanted. I called back and no one answered. My mom live near them and she wants fish so I've tried to go there but Black owned or not, I will never patronize or suggest this place to anyone!

A 30 minute wait will turn into ONE HOUR & FOURTY MINUTES! I ordered ONE fish and shrimp dinner, and I got unseasoned fried and fish. The shrimp was decent. There were several people comparing about the hour + wait. Pregnant woman at the counter does not communicate with waiting patrons and ignored everyone and I will never recommend this place or eat here again. If anything, I hope this saves y’all money and time.

I ordered a fish dinner by phone at 725pm, and was given a pick-up time of 8pm. I arrived at 815pm and my dinner was not ready!
There were several upset customers there waiting for their orders. The employees were dry, unconcerned, and very slow.
I finally received my order at 915pm. I only waited that one because every time I asked how much longer I was told 5-6 minutes. The food was okay, but it was definitely not worth the wait. There's plenty of fish fry's in the city cheaper, less wait time, and better tasting.I will never patronize their business again

The owner has a wonderful establishment ,and unfortunately, probably due to age or other responsibilities, he can't always be in attendance. My opinion he has left some very irresponsible young men in charge of his establishment whenever he is not around . I have ate from there for over 12 years . And the last visit for me was horrible 😞 It's the customer service . The great fish is just not worth the poor service , people that have great customer service need to be at the counter, not some that can't smile or be inviting, the place just has a lot of tired attitudes and non professionals working there. I came near close and was literally told if I wanted my order cooked, I had to tip the cook . For 30 mins of bk n forth, I felt like I was negotiating my dinner after a 10 hour shift. I ended up just asking for my fish raw so that i could just go home. I will never be returning again . It was a horrible experience to feel like someone was extorting me for a fish plate. I am to professional for that .
