Took my dog to get groomed at Peru location and was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. My poor dog was there from 9am till 2:46pm before I finally said to just give me my dog. Missed many spots when cutting her hair and said she was hard to handle. She is seven pounds and by the time she got back to me was terrified (probably because she was there so long). I will never take my dog back!!

For one, their selection of inventory is not great and most of the time when I go there they are out of whatever I need that they actually carry. The grooming department is an absolute mess. The second to last time I took my dog there for an appointment it took them 8 hours to complete her hair cut. 8 hour for a puppy under 1 y/o to be in a cage. She was covered in her own pee after. They apologized and gave me 20% off my next visit. So I just took her there again and this time is was shorter....it took them 6 hours to complete her hair cut, still not happy about the length of time because they told me 3-4 hours. They were also 15minutes late to arrive to even check her in. The icing on the cake was when they charged me for a holiday grooming package and I tried to tell them I did not request that nor do I want it and they insisted they would fix it but all they did was take 20% off of it ... something I didn't want in the first place and after trying to explain to them the situation they still didn't understand "no I do not want that, I signed a form stating I was paying 103 not 138, I did not ask for that" I was tired of trying to explain and I just wanted to take my puppy home. So they continue checking me out and then they're trying to charge me for each separate item ilthat came with the holiday package. So they were trying to charge me the holiday package TWICE and I had to stop them. I will not be bringing my puppy here every again or buying from them ever again. I also asked for a 30min heads up because I live 35min away and they have me a 15min. I rather just order my items online or go to a different groomer because they're grooming jobs aren't even that good and no puppy deserves to be locked up for more than 4 hours in a metal cage. I wish they would have just given me a call or a heads up that they were running behind and I would have been happy to bring her in later and I wish they wouldn't have upcharged me to something I did not want. Don't waste you time going here

Today was our first time visiting the grooming center. We have a 6 month old Bouvier who is quite literally scared of anything and everything so we decided to ease into it grooming with a basic Pawdicure. The girls in the shop were incredibly friendly & absolutely had heart eyes for our lil Rowdy. They went above and beyond the paid service with grooming up/cleaning up a few other parts on our sweet Rowdy. They were also very informative about his coat and proper grooming tools. We will most definitely be back for a full service here soon!! Thanks girlies🫶🏽

Great place to visit, plenty of useful and cute accessories for you pets. If you love animals, you’ll end up with your cart full of stuff you never intended to buy in the first place. Plus: you might have the chance of watching how the dogs are being trained 😍 Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom spacious and clean. It’s just delightful. Needless to say I’m an animal lover.

I think our Peru Pet smart has decent customer service as far as products. Have never used grooming service, but everyone seems to generally be nice and helpful

PetSmart is a horrible torture chaimber for animals please never buy anything from them they don't take care of their animals also I rated 1 star because I couldn't rate 0 stars I recommend Bokel zoo in Princeton il over this torture chaimber don't buy anything from here

Love the staff. The groomer Kelsey has handled my dog since she was a puppy. Luna loves to go see her every time we go in. The dog training classes are also great! Geno is a great teacher, he definitely notices if a dog is struggling with one thing and gives you different techniques on how to get your dog to achieve the task you want. He is always in a good mood, which definitely makes class more fun and helps you dog want to learn. I highly recommend him as a trainer. Can't wait to continue classes with my Luna. 😊
