I ordered a half cow from Perennial Pastures because they’re near my home.

I rarely leave negative reviews.

What I got was a collection of pieces that added up to a half cow shipped to me from the Independence Mo.

3/5 boxes were partially thawed.

I’ve got 11 packages (all of the large cuts) that showed up partially thawed, with holes in the packaging, and some of it arrived going on 5 months old. Who knows what that meat came into contact with.

They assured me the partially thawed, hole packages, that were packed back in September were good to eat…

I’ve had to follow up with their customer service multiple times. It’s been three weeks and no one has reached out. When you call their number it’s a Google voice no one answers.

Also worth noting no tallow despite asking.

For 3.5k+ I expected fresh meat from a local ranch in packaging that doesn’t have holes.

Their customer service will promptly reply apologizing and claiming to escalate the matter to a sales manager but nada.

I fear they’re more designer Ecom beef than local rancher. I’ll look for somewhere else to support next year.

Perennial Pastures has the best beef. Why? Because they understand their cattle, land, soil, water, and grass better than anyone else. The team produces the highest quality, grass-fed beef in Southern California, if not the West. We love their steaks, burgers, beef sticks and anything else these fine purveyors produce. We keep coming back to Perennial Pastures beef since we know that their product is of the highest quality. Their team couldn't be more knowledgeable about regenerative farming and are extremely motivated to educate about the importance of the practice for the cattle and the planet. Go visit the ranch. Find them at a farmer's market. Order online. Don't be a fool and think you can find better.

Factory farmed cows that eat corn and soy are unnatural for our diets and leads to higher Linoleic Acid in beef meat and fat. When we ear it, this causes inflammation and is associated to chronic disease)

Ever since I got this wake up call, I’ve been buying from Perennial for the past 2 years. Now it’s my primary source for all my beef!

In the beginning I dipped my toes eating Ancestral Blend Ground Beef which is 90% Ground Beef and 10% Beef Organs. I’ve heard how Beef organs is nutrient dense so gave it shot. Haven’t felt more energized and fueled in my life. Since then I’ve added Beef Ribs and Beef Bone Broth as a new addition!

So grateful for Perennial. Knowing they got my back on regenerative meat, that’s grass fed and grass finished and contributing to a healthier outcome for our health, soil and community. I’ll be a customer for years to come.

Didn’t realize beef heart would be one of my favorite meals, but here we are! It’s delicious and easy to cook- I just slice it thinly, cover it with salt/pepper/garlic powder, and cook it in ghee. If I have an onion on hand I’ll add that too. Organ meats are so nutrient dense, and heart has a similar flavor to steak, making it a great addition for tacos or pasta sauce. Perennial Pastures is the only source I trust for organ meats! Grass finished, humanely raised, and regenerating the soil- it’s a YES for me!!!

This is a delicious turkey. Having cooked Thanksgiving for over 30 years and I followed #maxthemeatguys cooking directions, this was the best turkey I have made to date. I will definitely be ordering another one next year!

Wow, wow, wow. This is the best meat we have ever had. We had the privilege of working with Kevin and his team ordering 1/2 a cow and it’s been amazing. From the ability to work with a custom butcher to select cuts that we wanted, to the packaging and incredible quality of meat, the whole experience has been awesome. However, the true star is the meat. From the ground beef to the tomahawk steak, everything has been incredible. We will never buy meat any other way.

Thrilled that San Diego has a local ranch that is giving as much back to the earth as they are to their herd and meat. Bought a 1/2 Beef which has been a joy and a privilege to confidently nourish and share with my family and friends. Brisket, Tongue, and Ground Beef were hands down best I’ve ever had. Rancher Kev and team should be commended and honored for the work they are doing…this is how the world is changed. 110% recommend!
