We stopped in for appetizers and mocktails and both were delicious. The view is great, with lots of indoor or outdoor seating, with fire pits and heaters. Staff were quick and friendly. Looks like a very nice place to stay.

We have a vacation property in Pismo Beach and always look for new places to dine; rarely do we go to "touristy spots" as we don't enjoy the crowds or mediocre food. Since it was "low season", we decided to try a place down by the Pier, that we had never been to.

The venue was spacious and well-appointed, though virtually empty (good). Daniel was our server, and he was friendly and professional. Though the menu had fewer selections than anticipated, each was intriguing because of the contents.... I told my partner "this food is going to be good"! He was not so sure.. but with items such as "cilantro rice" and "microgreens" and "vegan enchiladas with harvested mushrooms", how could it not be... and it was GRAND! Distinctive and unusual flavors, cooked to perfection (NOT overcooked), presented with artistic flair......... Pequin is definitely one of the best places that I have dined at on the Central Coast, and I will visit them again.

Though there weren't many diners (January) the kitchen was busy preparing food for hotel guests (as noted by the carts/covered dishes).

Pequin also has happy hour from 3-6 at the bar, and there was live music when we were there. This was definitely a "happy surprise" that exceeded our expectations (and we found street parking half a block away).

Pequin is a great place to eat if you're looking for a quiet restaurant with great service, high quality food, with amazing unique flavors

The Wagyu beef was amazing with a dark, rich reduction sauce.
For an appetizer I recommend the fingerling potatoes - they were cooked perfectly and had a perfect blend of three different sauces.

And the caramelized banana is a wonderful dessert.

This is also a great place for a formal staff dinner if you really want to treat your small team

Loving the new management. Very community centric. The new restaurant Pequin has Mexican style dishes that we can all can relate to but with a gourmet flare. The tacos and ceviche are a must try. Chef Frank does a fantastic job of bringing exquisite flavors to every bite. It was also the perfect location for my birthday bash!

Great patio location, unfortunately the service is horrible. Went for lunch (party of 2) after a hike at the Pismo Conservation Center. Ordered drinks and food, unfortunately after 20 plus minutes of waiting for our drinks the food was brought out. We began eating our food still without our drinks after being halfway done with our meal the drinks came out. The drinks we ordered 1 Pepsi no ice, 1draft 805 blonde ale, 1 mocktail. Please avoid this place like the plague and go elsewhere in Pismo.

Disappointing dinner both nights. Ordered what was supposed to be fresh halibut last night .. $46 and was very small and dry as a bone. All 3 of us ordered it and all came out that way. Hardly fresh . It was frozen. Calamari was soggy . Chicken Mole was rubbery and unseasoned chicken and mole sauce was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Bartender Rebecca however is a rockstar. Great bar service but kitchen is bad. Don’t eat there.

Restaurant definitely deserves some good reviews.

Located inside of Vaspera resort so not easy to miss. Live performance at evenings.

Cheerful staff, good wine and food options. Surprisingly, very good vegetarian options available.

Friday early evening was busy with tourists and families but still had some nice open tables with views. Donna was server, she is personable and is great at her job. Ordered drinks and the Brussels sprouts appetizer. Totally recommend and would order them again.
