I have lived in Park Ridge, IL for over 20 years. It is a great safe place to raise a family, educate children and live a full and engaged life surrounded by friendly residents and those who provide vital services. It is a well planned and beautiful environment. Visit Park Ridge. The transportation options are many: autos, trains, boats, and planes.

Park Ridge is a beautiful place, which I support by shopping and eating at the restaurants quite often. Hopefully the mayor will not enforce these vaccine mandates that are not laws and are discriminating which is against the law.

Not as helpful a city hall as the town I used to live in. Stopped in to talk about a house that's been being renovated for two summers now, it seems like they only have one code enforcement person and it shows. If you have a question for the police department, they're not that user friendly to citizens, seems like they have a chip on their shoulder. I have family and friends that are police officers, (in much tougher areas then Park ridge, think west side of Chicago) and I support the police. Have a little bit more of a friendly relationship with your citizens.

As for the town itself, it is one noisy place. And I don't care or mean the airplanes flying overhead. I'm talking about everyday a lawn service attacking a lawn with all kinds of equipment, and non-stop construction everywhere. You can't even enjoy sitting in your yard because of some kind of lawn equipment or construction noise. Add the fact parents that don't control their kids. We have neighbors that allow their kids to try and whack home runs in the backyard which is the size of a post that stamp. Now there is a park, two blocks away. The other day there were seven balls in the yard. I mean once in a while I could see okay, but this is a common occurrence. I finally had to have a talk with the parents. Not to mention on Friday nights the trampoline they have in the yard and the kids screaming bloody murder on it at 9:00 p.m., you can't even have your windows open while watching TV.

There is no sense of community like I felt in my old neighborhood. You may ask why I decided to move here well, family matters, a parent passed away and I need to be here for the other one.

When you drive into the city limits, on their sign, they should have a picture of a lawn mower, a power saw, and a screaming kid's face.

Every service was ok. However I extremely suggest to put changing table for babies in the restrooms.

Although there are some great stores and businesses there, I try to avoid it for their ridiculous parking fines. When a store makes you late (one minute in my case) you get a $50.00 fine at a 25 cent meter.
