I photographed a wedding here and it was an amazing experience for my clients and also for other vendors. The service was fast and I felt no bugs or flies thanks to the bug repellent tiki torches. Having your first dance in the sunset is a big plus!

This is one of the best wineries on the North Fork. Their wine is great the staff is unbelievable. The pizza is just great. Patrick, Michelle & Chris could not be more helpful in making you feel at home. Their
knowledge of wine is just incredible. If you’re not a member you are missing out. Thank you Tom Burke retired from The New York Times 37years

My boyfriend and I stopped in for a tasting. The server named Alex was super sweet and attentive towards us. We enjoyed two different tastings and ordered a couple different glasses of wine to enjoy after as well as a cheese platter. We came on a Friday night and they had a performer on the terrace to serenade the guests. We enjoyed taking in the beautiful landscape while listening to the soft guitar and smooth voice of the performer’s music.

I'm cleaning up my pix on iPhone - the photos were taken on Nov 18, 2021:

Time has changed: 30 some years ago when my friend would stuck out her tongue “turning red …” when I mentioned LI vineyards. Wine tasting was free. 20 years ago, many vineyards have renovated and they charged a fee for tasting (flats… and discount if you buy after tasting …) About a decade ago the low cut/high hem girls arrived in doves in limos, signaling the arrival of Long Island vineyards. ... not yet Napa ...

We haven’t been back in couple of years and today we see “no outside food” sign. Roanoke Vineyards even requires you to become a member to taste their wines (seriously?!? Hell NO!)

Good for them if they could forgo the bring-your-own-food concession. Some vineyards we went were outrageous that many patrons even brought rolling coolers, that made the tasting rooms/tents noisy, messy and very annoying. Now with the table service, it seems no more tasting (wish they keep the tasting menu tho, with different flats …), straight per glass basis. But over all I’m glad they’ve prospered. Aside, churning out decent wines.

There is distance to catch up with Napa but east coast always does things differently than the West. Who knows. The hit and run party scenes may be the only way that make the vineyards survive.

On this note, I’d say go Long Island vineyard and go Long Island wines.

FAVORITE vineyard ever 🤚🏼Delicious wine. Super friendly staff. Dog lovers accepted. Great food. Yay for parking spaces. Also, there’s plenty of outdoor tables for everyone.

We tried the weekend rosé and Sauvignon blanc — both crisp, smooth, and refreshing. We may have bought 2 bottles of rosé for home 😳 I’ll definitely have to visit again next time I’m in LI

Pandemic Review. Had a wonderful time. The wine was quite good. Food served by the winery also was good. My family ordered Cheese Platter with Almonds which included prosciutto and peppered salami. Winery was clean. They usually have a food truck vendor and a seafood vendor at the vineyard for more food variety. Service staff was attentive. There was good music in the background (sounded like sat radio Alt Nation). Guests and staff wore masks. Everyone did their best to maintain social distancing.
