Visited Oso during a time when it was slow (January mid-afternoon). I was with my family (6 adults and 3 kids) for my dad’s birthday. We visited because they took walk-ins and it looked beautiful. However, they stated that for a party of our size, we needed to pay $10 for each adult plus $5 for kids. This was not a minimum purchase but an additional fee on top of the purchases/tastings we were planning to do. We did not feel it was worth the additional charge considering we planned to have a minimum of 6 tastings (at $25 each). I was disappointed by this “new policy”. We decided to try a different winery and were delighted when Opolo accommodated our party with no additional fees and wonderful service.

Oso Libre stood out over all of the wineries we visited during our recent trip to the Paso Robles region. Consistently memorable offerings down the tasting sheet punctuated the day. Looking forward to coming back out for one of the quarterly (?) barbecue parties featuring local meat and their wine!

Update: Visited again, enjoyed a tasting, and left with another bottle. Oso Libre continues to impress! Thanks for letting us taste the Solera!

Oso Libre is one of our favorite Wineries for many reasons ! Love the seating overlooking a beautiful pasture and green hills, Service is fantastic and we always get to chat with the Winemaker Michael. Oh don’t let me forget the Wines...oh the Wines!
One last shout out - check out their Farm raised Angus beef !

Excellent location, 5 tastings all Excellent wines! Our server very educated in all varietals we tasted. Bought 2 excellent bottles of Bordeaux. Will definitely go back, make a reservation!

A wonderful sustainable winery. We had the tastings with the tour and it was excellent. Not only did we get a charcuterie board to have with great wines. We had a tour of the property with the wine maker. You can tell that this is a labor of love.

The grounds are beautiful and the wine has a lot more character than most. I think a lot of this is due to them aging the bottles quite a bit longer than other wineries. Regardless, they make fantastic stuff.
