Mountain Bounty Farm is an absolute gem in Nevada City, and supporting them goes beyond just fresh produce—it’s an investment in our future. The quality and variety of their produce are incredible, bringing back the pure, wholesome taste that processed foods have all but erased. But beyond the amazing vegetables and fruits, they represent something even more vital: the preservation of our land and our commitment to sustainable, local food.
We truly enjoyed their pig roast. Best dinner in a long time!
With farmland disappearing every day and food becoming increasingly processed, Mountain Bounty reminds us of what truly fresh, unadulterated food can be. By joining their CSA, you’re not only treating yourself to high-quality produce, but you’re supporting farmers who care deeply for the land and the community. Let’s keep supporting our farmers and ensure that fresh, nourishing food remains a part of our lives for generations to come. If you care about health, sustainability, and your community, Mountain Bounty Farm is where you should invest. Highly recommended!

I've been a member of the Mountain Bounty CSA whenever I have lived in Tahoe since 2018. The freshness and deliciousness of the vegetables grown on this farm are always so much better — and more interesting — than you can find in Whole Foods. At this price, and the fact that it's delivered nearby, it's a total steal. The business is easy to work with and has great customer service. Support small organic farms!

We have been members of Mountain Bounty Farm for almost 10 years now. Their produce is incredibly fresh and their weekly boxes have a great variety of items. I love that they include the basics like onions, garlic, celery, and carrots (the carrots are incredible!) along with seasonal specialties like summer melons, snap peas, and asparagus. Their weekly box feeds our vegetarian family of 5 and I rarely have to buy other vegetables. We are so grateful to have access to such amazing food through their CSA membership.

The produce has been wonderful. It is better than the grocery store (and I shop at a high end store). I love green beans and the ones at the store haven't looked so great so I have passed them by for weeks. It made me smile when I got green beans in my last 2 boxes. I also love that it pushes me to find recipes for vegetables that I don't regularly buy. It has been a good investment for me.

I could not have been more satisfied with everything having to do with our CSA box from Mountain Bounty. To start with, the communication and ordering process were both perfect! Whoever designed their website was genius. Each week I got a reminder the morning of my pick up day. And best of all the vegetables were beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend getting a weekly CSA box from Mountain Bounty

I've been getting weekly boxes from Mountain Bounty for about 7 years and I absolutely love them. The produce is so fresh and beautiful, the recipes they send have broadened our family's meal plans, and I especially love that I receive the food with minimal packaging, handling, and transport. It feels good to participate; it's nourishing for body and soul. I've been a member of many CSAs in different areas over my lifetime and Mountain Bounty is absolutely the best. Highly, highly recommend.

This is a great CSA! Always a great mix of seasonal basics, and then sometimes there's crazy stuff. Always fresh and beautiful. Customer Service is great! Regular box is perfect for a family of 4, the coffee is delicious, and the flower share is always gorgeous. Unfortunately, the supplier of the fruit share (Not Mountain Bounty) won't accept their own boxes back for reuse, so I stopped ordering that. Also, the fruit is often not great quality and inferior to what you can get at New Moon or Farmer's Market.

As an 8 year eater of Mountain Bounty Farm's produce, I can confidently say my family is happier, healthier, and more knowledgeable. The fresh produce, variety, and lack of grocery store visits are all additional benefits. The added fruit, mushrooms and flowers have been a hit as well. The veggie boxes encourage us to eat home made meals, and leaves us with minimal opportunity to eat at restaurants (our wallet and bellies are happier). The boxes force us to eat locally-available produce that matches the climate, which is exactly what our bodies have evolved to expect (starchy roots in winter to burn calories to keep warm) and sun-soaked bush vegetables in the summer that don't require cooking. The recipes that are in the emails are enjoyed kids and adults alike. My kids literally say "thank you" for the meals and have grown to love their salads and (most) vegetables. Recently one even said, "Mom, the veggies you get always seem to be the same [on a more or less monthly basis], and yet the meals are very different." My kids have been inspired to start helping with meal prep and can identify a wide variety of flavors in their bites/drinks too. We have chosen to pay our farmer now, not our doctor later.
