We arrived very late as we take in 2 nights before going on a cruise. There were a lot of us on the same flight that all arrived at the same time. Staff were quick while maintaining their professionalism and friendliness. Highly commend their customer service.
Location was great. We were able to pop out and get some pizza for dinner as recommended by the hotel. Most things were shut given it was close to 11pm.

Rooms are great with spectacular views. Highly recommend so far.

We were in NYC to attend a concert. Eric who checked us in was awesome. The valet attendant was extremely helpful. Our hotel porter was very nice and professional. We had drinks and dinner in the bar with limited time before our concert. Our waiter was top notch and very professional. Our waiter helped expedite our order. Drinks the bartender made were great. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel. We are grateful to the entire staff for making our stay memorable. My only issue is with the parking fee of $ 100.00 dollars which was a third of the cost of my room and the fact the car is not accessible. If I wanted to use my car to attend the concert I would have been charged $ 100.00 each time I needed my car. Not to mention, leaving the concert I was price gouged by the taxi driver who only accepted cash. Thank you to all who served us at the Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza you were all Awesome

I was expecting much much better experience than what I witnessed.

They will find ways to make you pay extra money!

To begin with; I arrived early; approximately 11 AM due to my flight to NY, I was aware of this situation earlier and tried to find anything helpful from their website regarding checking-in early, there were no mentioning of paying anything! actually they say in the website that if you come early and your room is ready we’ll check you in (at least that what I understood) NO FEES mentioned! When I arrived they told me that there is a room ready but you need to pay early check-in fee of 150$! I didn’t and preferred to hangout nearby a little. I checked in finally 4 PM (the official time).

When I entered the room, it was good no complaints there, but the weather was cold and the AC control is not working! Waited 1:30 hours until the engineer came, to just open the ceiling and turned the AC down manually!

For the check out; they charged me additional 100$ for checking out 1 PM instead of 11 AM. the employee told me that he could’ve charged me with 200$! Ok thanks..

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Here’s why:
• Upon arrival, the receptionist was extremely rude. They took a non-refundable deposit, which was never mentioned on the website or anywhere in the hotel. When I asked about it, the staff had no proper explanation—just a “this is our policy” response.
• Terrible service from start to finish. No one helped with our luggage, no trolley was offered, and the entire staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming.
• The room itself was spacious because I took the two stories which is rare for NYC, but no one explained the facilities—something I expect from Hilton.
• Housekeeping was awful. Our room wasn’t cleaned, and we had to beg the cleaning staff to do it.
• A huge cockroach appeared in our room. We complained, but nothing was done.
• AC in the downstairs bedroom didn’t work.
• Hilton Honors points weren’t added, with no explanation.
• I requested a late checkout since I had a UN session until 12 PM. The receptionist rudely told me I’d be charged extra. Only after complaining to the manager (about the cockroach!) did they extend it to 2 PM.
• No one explained breakfast times, gym access, or restaurant details.
• A large, disgusting stain was on the stairs—how does Hilton allow this?
• The only helpful staff member was Mr. Frank, who assisted us with renting an umbrella (because no one else bothered to explain how it worked).

The only positives:
1-The manager was nice, but he didn’t offer any compensation or solutions.
2-The location is convenient for the UN.
3-the view of the room

I stayed here twice over an extended stay in Manhattan staying in various Hilton Brands and locations. I liked the Millenium Hilton UN Plaza, and after staying twice I didn’t understand a lot of the super negative reviews.||The hotel has amazing views. The hotel rooms are all located on high floors and are in the upper section of the two towers that make up the UN Plaza. I stayed in both towers with different aspects, and I could see all the rooms here would have really amazing Manhattan skyline views.||The rooms are very roomy and oversized by Manhattan standards. Although the décor is a little dated, I found both my rooms to be very well maintained, clean and comfortable. With the extra living space and great views, the rooms provide a very enjoyable Manhattan stay.||I enjoyed the location too. It is a bit calmer and less touristy than crazy Times Square, yet it is very close to Grand Central station. There are subways you can easily walk to and there were a lot of dining options of various price points and styles around the hotel. I also enjoyed walking around the hotel and found this an interesting part of Manhattan to explore.||The doormen & concierge in the lobby near the doors were all really great, welcoming and helpful. I did find the two staffed reception desks a little confusing, as only one could do check-ins etc. One thing I would agree with from some of the negative reviews is the staff working the check-in & check-out desk do come across as unfriendly and a bit passive aggressive like they are trying to fend off requests before they might happen etc, not that I had any personally, but that was the vibe. All the rest of the staff I found very friendly and helpful. ||The lobby café staff were nice and it was convenient and I was able to use my Diamond credits there. The resort fee and Diamond credit all applied automatically and correctly without any issues. The restaurant menu and dining options did feel a bit basic and scaled back though, perhaps because it was winter? Not a huge deal as I used the lobby café or other dining options outside the hotel.||I would definitely stay here again to enjoy the great views, larger rooms, and also because I enjoyed staying in this part of Manhattan for a change.

I have stayed at this property twice, and have enjoyed every minute of my stay! The rooms are recently refurbished, much more spacious than the average NYC hotel, and have great views, comfortable beds and large bathrooms. The hotel staff is friendly and attentive. The location is fabulous. One block from the UN, and a short walk from Grand Central. Room scan be a little pricey during certain months, but it is worth every penny. Will definitely stay here again!

Mediocre for a hotel pretending to be luxurious. ||Room: spacious with good views over the skyline although the windows are very small and you would have to stand up to look outside. The decor and furniture is outdated and needs renovation. Wall paper loose, carpet is damaged and shows signs of heavy wear. Not really up to standards that it should be. ||Ambassador lounge: |1. breakfast was messy, dirty table both times i visited. Staff har no flexibility to change a ingredient of pre set menu items we asked to cahnge the breakfast potatoes to fruit but refused, so instead only served the sandwich. Service was sloppy. The menu is prices are high especially seen how they serve the food, but the buffet is outrageously priced at $48excl tax. (See picture of the $27 breakfast sandwich)|2. Evening, in the Hilton Honors app it says there is food and drinks in the lounge till 12, at 10:25 they refused our food order because the kitchen was closed. Service was very slow. So we had to go out of the hotel at 10:30 because they would not serve us any food order snacks, this is unacceptable. ||Bell desk:|Very very friendly, where there to help with the luggage and help with a package that was received few days before. ||Hilton honors Diamond member benefits: I was not recognized as a hilton diamond member upon checkin. I asked for a upgrade and they did not have anything available although i just got an email 1 hour before to pay for a upgrade. As a Hilton Diamond member one of the benefits should have been to receive a room upgrade up to suite roomtype, they told me it was not available but online it still showed to upgrade my stay. After asking for a late checkout we initially where offered a 1 hour longer checkout but after insisting we got it till 1pm instead of 11am. I did not feel the hotel was treating Diamond members any other than regular walk in guests. ||Overall: okĂŠ but not up to the standard the hotel presents to be. I Would choose definitely a different hotel when back in the city next tome. Hotel is very well secured with sniffer dog during some parts of the day, other moments there where no sniffer dog.

A nice hotel in a nice location. The staff seemed a bit stiff and not very welcoming. This property wanted to charge us $100 for a late checkout (12:00 vs 11:00 AM)|The room was nice. The bed was comfortable. The burn spot in the carpet from an iron, frayed carpet, and a pin I found in the carpet, an “off” smell in the room, and no body wash in the shower suggest a need for some updates and for staff to pay a little more attention.|Will we stay here again? Maybe? Chances are we will probably look for something else.
