Stopped by this place for the first time last night to grab some takeout because I wanted to watch a movie at home but I definitely want to come back to dine in. This little 💎 has authentic food 😋 We ordered the oysters, molcajete, taquitos and botana del Mar. I had a michelada at the bar while we waited for our food. Everything was amazing 👌🏼

Some people love this place, and as the saying goes, you can't knock a place until you try it. The overall experience was nothing to write home over, to say the least. The interior decor was incredible. The restaurant wasn't very busy from my point of view, but the attentive awareness of the staff and the speed of service did not impress me or my family. The staff were nice and prompt to you when you had their attention. The highlights of my meal were the steak flavor because they actually put salt on the steak and the chile relleno. I ordered their number 19 asada plate. It was overcooked (I ordered a rare cooked steak, and it got to the table at a medium rare to medium temp). Also, there was a chunk of fat that wasn't rendered, so I was unable to finish my steak. The complimentary chips and salsa weren't very good. The salsa wasn't fresh or made with quality ingredients because it tasted like water, and the chips lacked any salt. My wife's dish was a 3 item combo platter with a taco, enchilada, and Chile relleno, and the green sauce for the enchilada was atrocious and an insult to any version and recipe of a salsa verde. At the end of this review, my opinion is just my opinion, and there are only two questions I'm currently asking myself, 1. Did we survive? Yes. 2. Will we ever go out of our way to go back and order more food? Absolutely not.

We haven't been there in, well...... it's been too long. We went on a day trip and nothing sounded good until we were in the area and Hey, Mama Maria's? Yesss! Food and service was excellent as usual. Great atmosphere as well. 😋

I really want to give this place 5 stars, but read on to find why I can't. I really enjoy the food and their prices are very reasonable and lower than other similar places. They have the best Carne as pastor, their salad dressings are delicious. Everything we eat is great. They have the best chips and salsa, BUT, I noticed that the server used his hands to get the chips, without handwashing and sanitizing, after grabbing dirty plates, taking payments. C'mon guys, you've got to do better than that. Completely disgusting and a great way to make your customer ill. Mama Maria's, please have your employees retake the food safety course.

A FRIEND OF MINE RECOMMENDED MAMA MARIA's RESTAURANT. MY WIFE AND I GAVE IT A TRY. THE FOOD,SERVICE WAS ON POINT. THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS, CHIPS AND SALSA WERE FRESH. MY WIFE ORDERED THE TRIO FAJITAS, I ORDERED CHICKEN ENCHILADAS SUIZAS. YUMMY GOOD FLAVOR. PEDRO OUR WAITER IS ALWAYS ON TOP OF IT. HE ALWAYS MAKES SURE YOUR DRINK 🍹 🥤 🍷 🍺 IS FULL .

Our food was excellent, our waiter was excellent, it was my birthday and he fed me my birthday ice cream..I couldn't stop laughing 🤣🤣. Overall it was a nice experience, but too far out the way..!

I ordered the chili verde burrito plate and my lady ordered the carne asada burrito plate. Both very good and filling, plenty of food. Service was real good. I was stuffed.
