Three words: Elk Shepard's Pie. That is all you need to know, but I'll continue. The bison burger is also likely more than your mouth can fit around, but your tastebuds will thank you for managing the bites. Their fries and honey mustard are the PERFECT combo. Katie was our server and she was amazing! We had a great time at this restaurant. It was a great spot for a chilly winter night. Also the pomegranate margarita was phenomenal!

Wow! SO GOOD! When I come into a small town like Cortez, I set my standards slightly lower. Cortez has plenty of corporate chains and classic diner style restaurants. Loungin' Lizard is fun, modern, and the food is surprisingly very delicious.

I ordered the country fried chicken and spinach salad. Sounds very basic.... NOPE! The chicken was covered in the perfect amount of chef made gravy and the mashed potatoes were mixed with chilis. The salad had bleu cheese, spicy nuts, red onions, strawberries, and a balsamic glaze over a bed of spinach tossed in a prickly pear vinegarette.

The cocktail list has a mix of local and regional beers and wines along with some house cocktails. I had a Monkey Wrench PA from here in Cortez.

The service is fast and friendly.

I will definitely be back to try more.

I really liked the atmosphere! The fries were amazing! Great service. A very robust menu. Overall, I enjoyed it!

We found this gem on our way through town from Mesa Verde. The staff is so accommodating and friendly, especially El. All of the food is homemade and so delicious! Our biggest complaint is that we aren’t from around here so we can’t come back and try everything on the menu.

IPA’s were okay, margarita is spot on. Order the adult root beer float with cinnamon ice cream, you’ll thank me for it.

Outstanding Florentine Tomato Pizza no cheese, Vegan. I finished the whole thing. Crust super thin and crunchy. The flavors were delicious. One of the Best Pizzas I've eaten. Kudos Chef! Service was excellent. Willing to work with dietary needs. FYI dinner items only available for dinner so Ratatouille is not available at lunch.

It's a great place to enjoy when you're passing through Cortez. We stopped after hiking Sand Canyon.
I enjoyed a southwest Cuban sandwich with a spinach salad instead of fries, which I substituted for an additional $4. We also enjoyed the blackened shrimp appetizer but was too tasty to pause for a photo.
The service was excellent, and the place was clean as well.

Local and family owned kitchen provided an excellent dining experience. The staff were super friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! There is a great selection of menu items and I wish I could have tried more. The Elk Shepard's pie, Frito pie, and Caesar salad were all on point! Portions are pretty big and you can also order half sizes for things. With all that, make sure you save room for the cobbler!!!

The menu on the wall is cool. It's a pretty good menu, something for everyone.
I split a hamburger with my wife, they cut it in the kitchen, I liked that. The other 2 in our party had entrees, good sized portions. The table had double G&T's, local brew, White wine, all good pours. Some good classic rock was playing in the background, not too loud, thank you!
