Beautiful land. Discovered this place after going to a larger farm that was super overcrowded. Locus Grove Fruit Farm had a good selection of apples, a cute pumpkin patch, prices were reasonable, and employees were very nice. Recommend coming here and avoiding the crowds, its so much more peaceful!

What a friendly staff and great place to spend the day. We picked apples, watermelons, squash, peppers, eggplants, tomatoes and everything was super delicious. The cider donuts and the burgers they make on site are also amazing. You can also pick flowers here too!

Even though I can't get to the farm, the farm has come to me, down here at the Union Square Greenmarket in NYC! I have become an apple aficionado because, as a poet, I LOVE their beautifully descriptive names: Summer Pippins, Spartan Macs, Ginger Gold, and Rhode Island Greening to name a few of the more than 70 varieties grown here (in Milton-on-Hudson).

The Ginger Gold apples are perhaps mine & my two teenagers' favorite: they taste creamy (as if cream were inside) with a bite of ginger spice! Perfect for Fall as a snack with Black Forest Ham and cheese of your choice! My 15-year-old son, David, just added: "Great as a TV snack!"

Just got done shopping at the Union Square farmers market and my experience at this farm stand was so bad I had to share. My mom and I thought their sugar plums looked good so I was asking the man in the picture who was standing directly in front of us how to pick the ripest sugar plums because some were bright yellow, orange-ish and some were pink-ish/red-ish but before I could even get past, "How do we..." this EXTREMELY RUDE man cut me off and said "They're all sugar plums" and walked away. He didn't even bother making eye contact with us. SO damn rude my mom and I had to leave and I needed to take a picture of this person to document my experience there. If you're going to Union Square market, DO NOT give your business to this farm unless you wanted to be treated poorly. Take your money to the next farm stand.
