It is a very cute store, and the customer service is great, but the price of everything is fairly expensive. They take advantage of the fact that they are the closest store around. The parking situation is also very small and gets super busy quickly due to the lack of parking accommodations. Overall, it's a good little store.

The whole building is falling apart and management won't do anything about it and the food that is stored in the basement is being introduced to black mold,that the manager just paints over so be careful paying for food here cause it's been in a molding storage room and the price is just right wrong and stealing

We avoid shopping here if possible. Produce is sorely lacking, meaning sparse, sad, and too often wilted and bruised. Prices for a small, low income town, are outrageous. How dare they rip off their own community! Adding to the insulting prices, I rarely find everything I need. Other than the co-op and Dollar General there is no other choice, so if you need to buy groceries in Portola, you're screwed. But...their checkers are generally wonderful, friendly, and helpful. For that, two stars instead of one.

I loved being in Portola and visiting their cute store in town. It's a nice little spot. They had some good options, for not being that big of a store.

Prices are pretty high for this town and the other day I seen them stop a 90 year old lady from coming in to get her food I thought she was going to her car to grab a mask and nope she left, I mean wearing a mask is not a law and should only be by choice in my own opinion
