Product Specialties and Services

The core business of Lemon Farm is retail grocery sales, but what truly distinguishes it is the perceived quality of its produce and the breadth of its selection. According to customer feedback, the store manages to offer a surprisingly wide range of categories, often rivaling larger, more established chains known for their extensive offerings, like those found in Manhattan. One review explicitly notes that "the quality of everything they have is better than anything in the neighborhood." This suggests a focus on sourcing high-quality goods, potentially including organic options, which is a major draw for health-conscious consumers. The store is frequently praised for its "great produce" and unique items, indicating a curated selection that goes beyond standard supermarket offerings. Furthermore, the availability of whole wheat rolls and other specific bakery items caters to particular dietary preferences and needs.

In terms of services, Lemon Farm offers same-day delivery, providing customers with added convenience, especially for those who prefer not to make a trip to the store. This service is a significant advantage in today's fast-paced world. While the store itself may not be overly large, its efficiency is noted by customers. To be honest, while small, the quality of everything they have is better than anything in the neighborhood - including organic supermarket on 84th. Practically any category of food and their choices equal the better stores in Manhattan like Fairway. Only missing some Balthazar bread...

I moved out of JH recently and what I miss the most are the coffee beans at Lemon Farm! They have the best fresh coffee beans, well priced & will grind to accommodate any coffee maker. They also have a great selection of bread, olive oil & cheese.

This store offers some items not found close by. However, yesterday I had my second experience of purchasing an item only to discover at home, it was not edible. I was inconvenienced at having to return to the store only to be treated like I was a liar, same as the first time, sadly by the owner. The employees are always very polite and nice. I took the loss of 5.49 and decided to never put myself through that treatment again. Especially when there's so many other choices here in Jackson heights.

Great selection in a small space. Unlike a lot of places that sell higher end grocery items, the staples aren't overpriced. Many items are less expensive than the bigger mainstream grocery stores nearby. Very friendly staff, lots of hard-to-find items, good prices.

This place has really taken a nosedive under the new owners. I bought bad blueberries there too many times to count and, making matters worse, my complaints fell on deaf ears. I would might have gotten over the rotted fruit problem if they handled it like a real neighborhood corner store that cares about their customers. But these owners are not our neighbors so they don’t care if they’re nasty. And unlike the old owners, who had the same woman working the register for years, these people can’t seem to keep anyone behind the counter for more than a week at a time. It’s dizzying.

CHECK YOUR BILLS BEFORE LEAVING! THEY GIVE COUNTERFEIT BILLS!

Today, I went to buy some groceries there and only brought with me a $50 bill. After I finished my purchase, I walked a few blocks and as I was putting my change away noticed the counterfeit $20 they gave me. I returned to Lemon Farm, I spoke with the same cashier and they did not believe me. They claim that I went out and got a fake $20 as if I could be so bothered to do so. They said there is no way that they could have given me that bill and I could have gotten it from a different place or it was a bill I already had. Note, I only have the $50 bill with me and no other additional bills! They called me a liar and they recognize that I am a frequent shopper, but refuse to give me a legitimate bill or admit that they made a mistake.

If you don't want to be called a liar or be given counterfeit bill, I high suggest not purchasing your groceries here.

This was my favorite store in JH. The one star is for the rude lady behind the counter. I wanted to buy a ciabatta bread, went to pay and she told me that it was $4.99, I said the price tag is $4.69 . She rudely said “but it’s $4.99, do you want it? I said you should honor the price on the bread! Then she said “It’s $4.99, do you want or not”! No apology! Left with no bread!
