I have ordered pork shares from several different places over the years and most were really good. I recently purchased my first half pig from Laughing Earth this year and it's, by far, the best we've ever had! The bacon is fantastic and the hams aren't overly smoked or salty which we appreciate. Will definitely be ordering more next year! 🙂

It was a big decision for us to become a member of a CSA, but we are so happy we did. We were initially intimidated by what seemed to be a big cost. But, when we broke it down to account for a weekly installment of awesome quality food, we realized it was actually a big bargain. We love the quality and the variety of produce. Even though we have our own garden, the veggies from Laughing Earth are a welcome supplement. They plant such a great variety of things- you're bound to encounter something fun and new to enjoy! The self-serve flower and herb garden is such a beautiful bonus! And we love the option to buy eggs, pork shares, chicken and turkey. It really is worth every penny- and you do become part of the farm family. I highly recommend it!

Love this farm! We pick up our farm share weekly in the spring/summer and it is packed with fresh veggies each and every week. The farm is beautiful and everyone there is fantastic. They are welcoming, allow you to check out the animals on the farm, walk the hills, stop at the picking garden for herbs, and even cut your own wild flowers. Highly recommended!

We’ve loved being members of Laughing Earth’s CSA for the past two years. The fantastic veggies, the fresh eggs and chicken, the picking garden of flowers and herbs (and yummy cherry tomatoes), and the weekly newsletter with tips and recipes keep us happy and well-fed all summer and fall. And Annie, Zach, and Aaron make us feel welcome every time we visit the farm and have worked hard to make the farm and its members a real community. These guys are the best.

Absolutely love the farm, and Annie and Zach. Picking up from the farm is always fun, especially with two kids in tow. They love to check it all out. One of my favorite features is the picking garden. Buying herbs from the grocery store is the worst. They are already half dead, and you always have to buy too much. Being able to swing by the farm, even on non-pickup days, to grab some cilantro or parsley is the best. Fresh herbs make all your meals so much better. The sun gold tomatoes from the picking garden are also to die for. They are also constantly offering new things. Last year for instance we had the best strawberries and watermelon I have ever had. The "sharing bin" is also a nice feature. Don't have a use for all those tomatoes? Then put them in the bin, and another community member will use them to make sauce. Want more lettuce to make salads? See if there is some in the bin. Then there is the pork and chicken, so good. Best bacon ever! I feel very lucky that my family has Laughing Earth as our local farm.

Our city kids have grown up knowing a bit about farms because this CSA is so close to town that we go out there to pick up our farm share each week. In addition to the food picked for us, we get to harvest our own fresh herbs and flowers from the picking garden. Over the years we have enjoyed tasting new vegetables and getting to know the rhythm of the growing season. We also appreciate the good meat from the animals raised at Laughing Earth. Since we have a choice of which day to pick up our share, we go on Saturdays so as to be able to enjoy walking out into the fields at all times of the year, or when it's really hot, dangling our feet in the creek by the road. Zach and Annie and their family (and the Bulsons before them) are a pleasure to visit and see how they are progressing in rejuvenating the old farmhouse.

What can I say about Laughing Earth other than I’m so incredibly grateful to have joined this community. Annie and Zach are the most welcoming and each week we picked up our share they were there asking about work and home and sharing the latest happenings on the farm. Heading to get our Farmshare was the highlight of my 2 year olds week. We’d fill our baskets, head to the cutting garden for fresh flowers and herbs that he would help pick then often head to the barn or field to see how the animals were doing. The farm truly became our home! What a joy! We are looking forward to our second season with the farm family.

We have been members of the Farm Share for several years now. It is a real pleasure to stop up to the farm and visit with the folks who grow our food. My granddaughters in particular have really grown visiting the farm. Zack, Annie and Willa have become family. We know where our food comes from, we know what it takes to grow it....and we're healthier for it. You might be able to buy it cheaper, but you won't get it any better. We also get our chicken and turkey from the farm. Absolutely marvelous. If you're thinking about it....give it a try....you won't regret it.
