I am not somebody who really ever eats deli meats or cheese, but i came to Larchmont meateria to shop for my disabled neighbor who isn't able to easily leave his house. He gave me a long list of items I was altogether unfamiliar with and the wonderful employees helped me find ALL of it, even chopped up some lettuce for him and put it in a box. And they bagged everything very securely. Couldn't be happier, would come here again

Everything about this place ! As long as I have worked in Larchmont, I always passed by here because I wanted calf liver and I know places like this are selective. I had no idea what I was about to see. Fresh vegetables upon entry including many herbs. A full deli complete with good French ham. There are genuine international products here from the oils, desserts and unique soups. Come here with time if you don't know what you want to eat. Needless to say, I had no idea that the toasted bagel, would be the best tasting bagel I had in years. Like, really? Great on premises prepared dishes.

I, a brown woman went here with my ‘white’ husband and the people working there stared me down, several times - shocking for NY. My husband’s reuben sandwich while tasty but comparable to any NY deli costed $14.99. It was an unfriendly experience coupled with overpriced food. I really wanted to like this shop for the range of gourmet food but we won’t be returning.

I had a very disturbing experience at larchmont meateria. I watched an employee chop up meat and place it on a sandwich with his bare hands—no gloves, no handwashing, nothing. This is completely unacceptable and unhygienic.

It’s shocking that food is being handled this way, as it risks spreading germs and bacteria. To make matters worse, the overall cleanliness of the deli was disgusting. It’s clear that proper food safety protocols are not being followed, and this place should absolutely be inspected.

I will not be returning and strongly recommend others avoid this place until they improve their hygiene standards.
