Writing a bad review is my last resort. I know writing this will not resolve my issue, but I hope it saves someone else from having a similar experience. I am a new customer of LandPro, and this will be my last time working with them. I found a machine at LandPro that fit my needs and budget. The machine was located at the Clymer store. The salesman, Scott, and I spent the next couple of weeks exchanging texts, phone calls and videos of the machine. Scott explained to me where the machine came from and that he knew the farmer personally who traded the machine in. Scott assured me this was a solid machine with no obvious issues and a "rare find". After much discussion, I felt confident enough to purchase the machine. I asked for the machine to be sent through the service department for a complete inspection and for new tires to be installed. Scott was happy to accommodate. In addition to purchasing the new tires, I also purchased a new brush cutter attachment bringing my total purchase to $20k. The machine took almost a month to be delivered to the local Macedon store near me. When I sent a truck to pick up the machine, the battery was dead. Frustrated that a machine, which recently went through a service department, could have a bad battery, I asked for a tech to stop out and check the battery and charging system. I was told the battery was bad, but the alternator was fine. They replaced the battery at no cost which I was happy with. I checked the fluids and found the coolant to be low and the hydraulic oil reservoir was empty. At this point I was beginning to question if the machine ever went through service. I topped off fluids and ran the machine for 2 hours. The unit stalled out and would not start. I determined there was a bad electrical connection behind the dash. Fixed the connection and the machine was operational again. Ran the machine for another hour when the voltage dropped and the machine stalled out. I checked the alternator and it was not functioning. By now I was quite frustrated and called the Clymer store to see what they could do to help. After speaking with the service manager, Ron Bradley, he confessed that no one actually looked at the service report from the tech who replaced the battery. In that service report, the tech stated that the alternator was not functioning. They were kind enough to drop ship an alternator to me as long as I was willing to install it myself. I agreed and they shipped me a new alternator. After replacing the alternator, I was able to start the machine and begin operating it again. However, after about an hour of running the machine, a LOC code appeared on the dash and the hydraulic functions were locked out. I called the Clymer store and left messages with the service manager. I received no return phone call or communications for weeks. I sought out a local service company to come out and diagnose the issue. The diagnosis was that the computer board was dead and would need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the computer board needs to be ordered through John Deere. I called Ron back and was able to get through to him. I explained what I had found and asked if there was anything he could do. He seemed willing to help and was going to look into the lead time for the part. After a week of not hearing back, I called to check in. Ron told me the part was discontinued and there was nothing he could do for me. He made the suggestion that I try selling the machine for parts. He told me that they had done all they could and "we just need to part ways and be done with this". He explained that "this was a used machine and that's the risk you take". I understood the risk in purchasing a used machine. That's why I chose to purchase a used machine through a "reputable dealer" rather than a third party. I have quickly found out that even going through a large dealer such as LandPro does not mean you will get what you think you are getting. I would not recommend buying anything used through LandPro unless you are willing to take the same risks as buying something off Facebook Marketplace.
