Great little gem ? of a bakery in downtown Montevallo! Tons of pinatas and soooo much amazing baked goods! When I visited the clerk wasn't fluent in English, which wasn't a huge barrier since we just translated with cell phones. She was very upbeat and nice!

La Conchita Bakery is a must visit location in Montevallo, Alabama. There are fresh baked goods daily. All the yummy treats are on display for you to pick! The system is pretty cool. You get a tray, tongs, and pick whatever you like. It's an experience and the pastries are wonderful.

Horrible. I ordered a graduation/birthday cake and oh my gosh it was like a 6 year old made it. When I called them, they offered a discount on the next one but hey how can I order again from them when the cake that I paid more than $100 dollars for it was so messed up.
I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Thank you for having a bakery nearby that isn’t overly sweet. We love coming here for special occasions and buying a dozen of this or that whether cookies or bread or cake. We always look forward to coming to downtown Montevallo and visiting La Conchita.

Ordered a photo birthday cake on Monday, May 9th. I asked if it could be ready by Thursday, May 12th. they said sure. After 30 minutes on the telephone, prepaying $64.00 on my credit card and texting them the photo for the cake, my cake order was done. Went in the bakery on Thursday the 12th to pickup the cake and it wasn't what I had ordered. There was no photo on top of it. I told them this isn't what I ordered, I ordered a photo cake. They said I didn't order a photo cake, that I didn't pay the $10.00 extra for a photo cake. I said I did. They didn't believe me. My husband had to text me a copy of the original receipt. I got the $10.00 refund for the photo cake fee after I showed them the receipt. I will not be going to this bakery.

All the items were great. Fresh tasty and just the right amount of sweetness. I’ve become a fan of their flan. I was just visiting Alabama. Otherwise I’d probably go there everyday for breakfast.
