Kolatek Baking Company and it deli have won me over as the go-to place for take out lunch and all of their deli offerings. The "Dinner Special" is a great value, and I stop by 2+ times a week just to pick one (or two +) up. The deli section stocks Polish and American-made cheeses ... lots of choices and all are good. Same for the meat section. The daily soups never disappoint. All of the ladies serving customers are cordial, patient and efficient.
Now Kolatek is expanding to in restaurant service. Their large selection of deli and cooked meals, in addition to all of the grocery items, make it a must stop.
So glad that a high quality, clean, well stocked deli came to our neighborhood.

Very nice and friendly people. Came just for paczki and left with paczki, borshe, pierogi’s, blintzes and much more. New favorite spot!

It is troubling that the owners don't take any crtisizm and seem to spend all their energy on offending the customer back, rather than trying to fix the dish they serve. They should not be in the food service business with that disrespectful attitude. Their 'mushroom soup'' tasted like an uncooked, warm water with milk and flour and some uncooked mushrooms. All prepared in 3 minutes. You can not defend something like that. It is a hideous lack of respect for your customers, and the owner who responded to my review is an immature, rude, big headed blogger, not a cook. They act like they own a store along with it's reviews. Serve a decent soup, at least, and I'll give you a good review instead of bullying your shoppers and serving fake soup.

Nice little Polish deli and bakery. I really enjoyed the goulash, pork pierogi and paczki. I am picky on pierogi as I make it myself and this is the may be the best pierogi I've had in the Chicago area. They offer many types of fresh baked bread. I tried the standard rye bread which has a bit of sourdough flavor. I like caraway seeds which this loaf did not have so next time I will purchase one with seeds. The store is very clean and bright. The people working here are nice but feels.like they still have some training to do. I will be back again soon!

Excellent, tasty food. I bought 10 different foods from the deli and all were very tasty. Large, nice selection. Friendly helpful workers. I wish I lived closer I would shop here every week. I would serve anything I bought from here to guests. Go here you will not be disappointed!!
